2020 || JULY FAVOURITES

Oh boy, it has been a long while since I last shared with you my Monthly Favourites. I know that these are the type of posts that everyone likes to read to see and compare your favourites to others'. This month has been a bit hot and cold, hasn't it? Hence why all of my favourites are skincare related as I am still furloughed and not wearing much makeup!

Aveda Hand Relief

I'm a huge fan of Aveda and have recently reviewed their Shampure Hair Range. I think this is my third tube of this hand cream and I must say it is bloody gorgeous! It is on the pricey side, but you can get some great deals around Christmas which is when I purchased mine. This is the original scent of the hand cream, however, Aveda does bring out a limited edition scent from time to time - my favourite so far was the Cherry Almond scent which I still have a small amount of.

The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA (Hyaluronic Acid)

This is a concentrated serum with purified alpha-arbutin and hyaluronic acid which is great to reduce dark spots and hyper-pigmentation. The texture of this product is quite thick, almost jelly-like. It feels sticky on the skin so I tend to apply half a pipette at a time and mainly use this at nighttime only. The results, however, are amazing and my skin looks much clearer and not as red from using this serum.
I absolutely love the AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution, so it was no surprise that I loved this product too.

MAC Watermelon Fix+ Setting Spray

Sadly this was a limited edition item and cannot be bought anymore unless you can find it on Amazon or eBay. I'm a sucker for anything watermelon scented so of course I felt obliged to buy this product, even for £12.50 for a tiny little bottle. Money-wise I don't think the minis from MAC are worth it, but if they bring this out in a full-size bottle in the future then I will definitely buy it as I really like to use it as part of my skincare routine. I have recently started reading Caroline Hirons' Skincare Book and she recommends using a face mist daily, so I can say goodbye to this scent for a while as I've nearly used it all up now! :(

Pixi Hydrating Milky Makeup Remover

I've received a generous PR parcel from Pixi including their whole Milky Skincare range, and I was really excited to try this makeup remover. If you've been a reader of my blog & an Insta follower for a while, then you will know that the Clinique Take The Day Off Eye & Lip Makeup Remover is my favourite product to remove eye makeup and liquid lipstick but at £19 it's not the most affordable (the Pixi Makeup Remover is more expensive but it lasts me longer than the Clinique one). Usually, a makeup remover will last me just under 6 weeks, but this one has been going strong! It feels really soft on the skin, it doesn't irritate my eyes and only takes a small amount of product to remove stubborn mascara. It is slightly on the oilier side which might not be your cup of tea, but I've really been enjoying using it in July!

Have you tried any of the products mentioned in this post? What were your favourite items/things to do in July?
