REVIEW || DECIEM / THE ORDINARY AHA 30% + BHA 2% PEELING SOLUTION

I was hesitant to try anything from The Ordinary for a while. The low price tag was very appealing but I was worried about trying any form of acid on my sensitive skin. Having decided that 2020 is going to be a year where I'll be on a beauty spending ban, I knew I had to do a mini haul of a few of the Ordinary's bestsellers to try out before my spending ban started.
I ordered the AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution among a few other items as I heard many people rave about how good it is. I love the Origins Night-a-Mins cream which has fruit-derived AHA's, so how much different is this product going to be?
Well, for starters the Peeling Solution is pretty much pure acid, or at least it feels like it on the skin. It works immediately as well as overtime so it's a great item to add to your current skincare routine for beautifully glowy skin.

The first time I used this peeling solution it burned my skin. I thought that it was odd, but apparently, it is a sign that the product is working. I kept it on my face for no longer than 10 minutes as advised, and once I washed it off my skin felt absolutely amazing. It felt super smooth and soft.
The next day, my skin felt less oily and plumper. I've been avoiding using too many products at the same time and only been introducing one new product to try at a time until my skin gets used to the previous product I was trying out.

After a few weeks of using this product every 3 days, I have noticed that my skin doesn't react the same way to the product. It doesn't burn anymore, but the results are still great. My skin feels softer and smoother than it did before I started using this product. It is now a part of my biweekly skincare routine on days where I don't exfoliate or mask.

I wouldn't replace my normal exfoliator with this product but I will use them together on different days. This product isn't a normal face exfoliator/scrub but is a great addition to anyone's skincare routine. I would highly recommend giving this product a go, especially if you are looking for a brighter and smoother complexion.
