Now, I don't have to tell you how difficult it is to find the perfect razor for a bump-free and smooth finish. I have tried many different brands, including those specific for men which I find give me a better finish than those that are directed at women, odd right?
I have seen a lot of adverts for Estrid razor subscription and was really intrigued to see if this was going to be the one for me. So when Estrid got in touch with me about trying out a started kit, I jumped at the occasion as I spent so much money in the past on razors that did not work very well for me. Before I received my Peach razor I made sure to not shave for a few days/weeks to get the full effect from the first use.
My first impressions of this razor were that it was very pretty looking, heavy to hold and also easy to manoeuvre. I thought the packaging was really cute with little quotes on the parcel and the box the Starter Kit came in. The starter kit comes with a razor, 2 cartridges and a wall holder with a suction adhesive.
The starter kit only costs £7.95 and includes free delivery. This is a massive saving compared to other drugstore leading brands, especially as you get two cartridges included in the starter kit. If you choose to subscribe to a delivery service with Estrid then you can choose how often you'd like to receive a set of 4 cartridges for only £9.99. (Delivery is always free and always environmentally friendly).
The cartridges come with 5 blades for a precise and smooth finish. So far, from using this razor a few times a week (sometimes once a week/fortnight) I have noticed that my skin felt really smooth and bump-free(!!!) for the first time in a long time after shaving. I've never really paid much attention to changing cartridges/razors regularly as I thought that they will still work just as well once the gel-like coating wears off but this razor has really changed the game for me.
I've had this razor for a few months now and I can tell the cartridge definitely needs changing now as the results aren't the same as they were for the first two months of usage. For myself, I think the best subscription would be to have a delivery of cartridges every 3 months as I tend to shave around once, maybe twice, a week. So that would make it a new cartridge every 3 weeks which I think is a great deal for only £9.95 per delivery.
To say that this razor has lasted me so many uses in such a long period of time before changing the cartridge says a lot about the quality of it. I always get a super smooth finish, don't have to go over any area twice to get the best results and it doesn't dry my skin out!
As you can see, the starter kit comes with a wall holder which makes it super easy to store the razor where it won't get wet from the shower all the time or rust because it's been left on the windowsill (we're all guilty of doing that at some point).
I think that my favourite thing about Estrid is that they are a vegan and sustainable brand. Who knew that most razors aren't vegan friendly? After thorough research, I think that we can all do a bit more to help the environment even if it is just changing your razor at such an affordable price.
Overall, I really love my Estrid razor and highly recommend that you either get one for yourself or gift it to someone (or both). At only £7.95 for the starter kit, you'll be getting major FOMO if you don't get one now! If you have already purchased one or are considering it, which colour did/will you get?
Since receiving my peach razor, Estrid has added one more shade called 'Lemonade' which is my new favourite which I will definitely purchase in the future. Altogether there are 5 different colours to choose from so even if you live in a household with 4 other people that would like this then you can all have different colours to tell which one's which!
This is just such a pretty razor!
