Here we are, it's the time of the month and year where I try to stick out writing monthly favourites posts - let's hope that this time they are here to stay seeing as I've got lots of free time to write!
One item I kept picking up this month randomly was the Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation (I wear shade F2), and although it doesn't look that great set with powder it is a stunning AF foundation on its own. It glides beautifully on the skin, making it look healthy yet flawless and only costs around a fiver? If you haven't tried this foundation stick already then you must do, as it looks absolutely beautiful on the skin. I apply mine with a sponge from the stick but you can also go in straight with the stick on your skin and blend out using your favourite foundation tool (it also works well with a dense foundation brush).
Now, you would have seen me go on about how much I love the Pixi Glow Tonic many times, and it has previously featured in a monthly favourites on my Instagram, but I had to mention it again this month. I have recently opened my huge bottle (gifted) of the tonic and it is so handy! If you're a big fan of this product then I would recommend getting the bigger bottle as it lasts longer and the pump is super handy when trying to get the right amount out of the bottle. This bottle is limited edition so make sure you grab it when you can!
Another beauty item that I've been loving in January is the Smashbox Cali Contour Palette as it is super handy when trying to get my makeup done real quick (and quiet) in the mornings because it has everything you need to finish off your base. It has a setting powder (slightly too yellow for my skin tone, but still works well), a bronzer, a contour shade, two highlighters and a blusher - perfect, right? It's like one of those Benefit Limited Edition palettes that I absolute love, but with half the size that will fit through your letterbox (obvs a hint to treat yourself).
This wouldn't be a favourites post if I didn't include a piece of stationery in it, now would it? If you know me or have followed my blog for a while then you will already know that I am obsessed with stationary and have a notebook for every occasion, but I was recently sent a diary by Collins to try out and I think it's bloody brilliant for the price! The cover is really thick and smooth - I think it's very similar to moleskin in touch, but what I love the most about it are the features such as a monthly tracker, a dotted page per every week for anyone who enjoys a good old BuJo, as well as a few other useful pages.
I've been decorating mine with some stickers, which brings me onto my other favourite piece of stationery which are these gorgeous stickers from EllenBeeMakes on Etsy. I had these in my basket since before Christmas and then to my happy surprise, Ellen had a 25% sale on after Christmas so I had to buy everything in my basket and now I want more!
But to round this post up, these are my monthly favourites for January - keeping it short and sweet but precise!
