NETFLIX & CHILL - MY PREFERRED NIGHT IN AND FAVOURITE SHOWS

Who doesn't love a bit of Netflix and Chill? If it's on your own, with your friends or other half, Netflix = best night in.

My perfect night in consists of favourite TV shows/movies, snacks and a hot drink! Recently I've been loving different TV shows as movies don't entice me much anymore... I need a show to leave me guessing and wanting to watch on to find out what happens, yet I do love reading books before the shows too.

1) Sherlock - I've been obsessed with Martin Freeman ever since I watched The Hobbit (one of my all-time favourites I must say). I think that him and Benedict Cumberbatch make the perfect duo in this modern twist of Sherlock Holmes. 10/10 would recommend.

2) Orange is the new Black - Yassss! This show literally took over my life during my last year at college. I was hooked from the first episode and absolutely love the whole plot. I know that it's based on true events which tbh makes it even more exciting to watch.

3) The Big Bang Theory - If you're an open minded person then I'd definitely recommend this. I absolutely adore Sheldon Cooper and think all characters are fascinating. It definitely makes you look at things from a different perspective and learn about all types of personalities.

4) Black Mirror - A political satire which will make you think about everything that's gone off in 5 different ways (I'm not even joking). Kieran introduced me to this show a while ago, and I recently found out that it'll be returning to Netflix UK soon!!

5) Pretty Little Liars - Got a secret? Can you keep it? Ahhh! This show drives me insane! If you're up to date with it, you'll know who A is - rubbish, right? But, OMG when I first started watching this show (good few years ago now) I was so infuriated with wanting to find out who A was! And now I've got to wait until April for the last season to be released :(

6) Stranger Things - Oh my daysssss, have any of you watched this yet?! I've watched it the week it was released and I couldn't stop. I watched the whole season in a day and then rewatched it a couple of times (sorry, not sorry). This show is amazing, the acting is incredible and the setting is so realistic - I almost feel like I'm a part of the 80's!

What shows have you been loving recently? What's your perfect night in like?

LOTD - COSY AUTUMN/FALL LINGERIE & PERFECT NIGHT IN

Notice how I've said "LOTD" instead of "OODT"? Well, the "L" stands for Lingerie - because why wouldn't we want to shout out the most beautiful pieces we've come across?
This gorgeous lingerie set was bought from H&M in the sale, and I think I only paid £10 for it! It is absolutely gorgeous, and I love the lace detail on the back, it makes me feel super sexy when I wear it and that's what we should all feel like when wearing pretty underwear!

I know that comfort is a big thing for most (including me) but you can honestly buy pretty bras and knickers that are just as comfortable as the 'old granny pants'.

I would definitely pair this set with a sheer baggy jumper/sweater and leggings during the day, and just wear it as it is or with a baggy shirt in the evening for the ultimate comfort! - can't go wrong having a cup of hot chocolate and read a good book either! I'm currently reading The Hobbit, as I've been meaning to for a while now as well as being a huge fan of Bilbo Baggins! I also love candles, especially during this season as I feel like it's socially acceptable to light them every day/night and wear cute fluffy or frilly socks all the time! My go-to Autumn fragrance has to be Alien by Thierry Mugler, I'm so sad that I'm running out of it now :(

This post is in collaboration with Adore Me (you can find my previous post with them here). Adore Me is an online shop that sells the most gorgeous lingerie, including pyjamas and they've been shooting a really exciting commercial for their new launch of sportswear which is due to come out this October! Oooh how exciting!  - you can check their Insta account for more info!

What makes you feel sexy during Autumn time? How would you pair up this gorgeous lingerie set? What's your 'perfect night in'?

REVIEW || NATURAL COLLECTION HIGHLIGHTING STICK IN SHADE ROSE GLOW

The obsession over testing out one brand at a time has taken over the blogging world, and I couldn't help but notice that Natural Collection has come out with a new line of products. Obviously, I got the new products, but the one I want to focus on today is their highlighting stick!

I'm no stranger when it comes to strobing and highlighting, I honestly go all out! I'm currently obsessed with the Makeup Revolution highlighters - they're seriously so good.

I got the shade "Rose Glow" which I think is the perfect shade for my skin tone as I've got warm pink undertones. The packaging is quite basic, I don't like it very much and it's a lot like the ELF all rounder stick. However, it only cost £1.99 so I didn't expect much. I was hoping for it to have more product though as it is quite small.

As you can see the colour is very pinky gold, kind of like champagne pop by Becca. I do love this colour, I think it'll suit all skin tones as it's not too light and not too dark - quite universal.

This swatch just proves my point, look at the pigment! It's absolutely beautiful and easy to blend. The only issue I did have with it is that too much product applies with the lightest swatch! So it's best to apply it with a brush or a beauty blender.

Here's a swatch of the highlighter blended into my skin, so you can see that it's quite warm but still very shiny - yes please! I do want to try the other shades from the collection, but I need to get more wear out of this one first!

Have you tried Natural Collection's new highlighters? If so, which one did you pick up?

REVIEW || HONEST OPINION OF THE NYX LIP LINGERIE LIQUID LIPSTICK IN SHADE EMBELLISHMENT - FIRST IMPRESSIONS AND REVIEW

Hi Everyone!

Who doesn't own a NYX liquid lipstick yet? Either if it's a Soft Matte Lip Cream or the Lip Lingerie, it doesn't matter - NYX has been raved about for quite some time in the UK now and I've finally joined the bandwagon once I heard that my local Boots store opened up a NYX counter.

It wasn't long until I grabbed a few items including this gorgeous shade from the Lingerie collection. I really wanted to get more shades but the ones they had left weren't my cup of tea as many were sold out almost immediately...

First of all, the packaging is gorgeous. It looks a lot like the Kylie Jenner Lip Kit but for a fraction of the price, haha! It feels quite heavy and expensive to be honest, I actually thought it'd be quite flimsy and light but I'm glad it's not - this will make a great present for a friend or family member.

It took me forever to try and find the name of the shade ha ha, how embarrassing! I actually thought that this was a collection rather than the shade!

As you can see, the wand is really flat which makes it quite easy to apply. However, I do prefer Jeffree Star's wands as they are shaped to hug lips for better application, on the other hand I feel like NYX could have improved their wands as it's quite hard to get in the corners of the mouth and it always feels like I go out of line when applying this onto my lips.

So, not only is the wand flat but it's quite thick so it makes it even harder to apply! I think this would be easier to use with a lip brush however, I just slap on a bit of lipliner and go over with this lippy and have the perfect untouched lip for at least 5 hours!

Here's a swatch with the flash on, and the one below is a swatch with the flash off.
It actually looks a lot warmer and brown on my arm than it does on my lips as I feel like it's more of a nudish purple shade.

Overall, I was really impressed with the pigment of this lipstick and loved the colour when I swatched it on my arm, but because it shows up purple on my lips it slightly disappointed me and I wish I chose a different shade, as well as the wand isn't very up my street. But hey ho! What can you do? It was only £6.50 and the formula is great so I can't complain!

I will definitely add more of these to my collection, next on the list is Ruffle Trim!

Have you tried any of the NYX lip products? Which ones did you like best?

Lots of love,
Maya xo

Review || Makeup Revolution Fortune Favours The Brave Eyeshadow Palette+ Swatches

Hi Everyone

When I heard all about the British Beauty Blogger collab with Makeup Revolution I got so excited! I think this was the most spoken about the palette in the UK at the time - and to be honest, still is. I was a bit late to join the bandwagon and have finally bought this palette back in April and have not yet had the chance to experiment with all colours, however, I have swatched them for this review.

You can tell how sophisticated this palette is just by looking at the box. I mean, the colour of it - a gorgeous deep copper-gold shade just wants to be bought to look at, let alone to use.

If you're unsure about the shades and somehow there isn't a tester available then just look at the back of the box. It has all the shades shown on the back of it so you know that you're about to spend little on something life-changing.

Damnnn, just look at it! The packaging is perfect, the colours are perfect, even the names for each shade are perfect!

I have swatched all shades dry and directly onto my arm as I wanted to see their true pigment. Some show up really well, and some don't show up at all. However, when I tried them on using a damp brush all shades showed up perfectly and I couldn't be happier with the results.

l-r: Glimmer, Buffer, Peachy, Hope, Fortune, Skylight, Transformer, Midnight Rainbow.

l-r: Ice Cloud, Golden Coins, Cashmere, Tip Top, Yes Please, Green Machine, Smoothie.

l-r: Caffeine Fix, Latte, Pink Diamond, Creme, Drama Queen, Lonely Planet, Blacqua.

l-r: Soft, New World, Favour, Sunset Hour, Super Gold, Winning, Brave, The Revolution.

I found that the majority of the matte shades were less pigmented than the ones with other finishes however, I'm still glad I had bought this palette. I mean, the shades will create so many beautiful looks, especially in winter but I am slightly disappointed with the formula. There seems to be a lot of fallout after dipping the brush in, but what did I expect for £10?

Overall, I think this palette is amazing and totally worth every penny spent on it. Congratulations to Makeup Revolution for yet again, surprising us all with an amazing product. Keep it going, guys!

What are your thoughts on this palette? Have you tried creating any looks with it?

Lots of love,
Maya xo
