THE MOST PERFECT BLUSH/BRONZE PALETTE FOR THOSE WHO LOVE TO TRAVEL

I knew that the initial release of the Hoola Lite wasn't for a while, so I decided to get this Cheek Parade palette which retails at £49, which isn't the most affordable palette however you get 2 bronzers and 3 blushers that usually cost £24.50 each. Another reason for why I bought this was that it actually includes the newest blusher Galifornia - yes, please!

The Benefit Hoola bronzer has been my favourite matte bronzer since the day I bought it (roughly around 1.5 years ago, and I must say it was a life-changer. So, when I heard about Benefit bringing out a lighter version of their original bronzer I was over the moon as I am naturally very pale so the original Hoola can sometimes seem a bit too dark to wear, especially in Winter. The Hoola Lite, on the other hand, I feel will be amazing for me to wear in winter or when I don't fake tan. I also feel like it'll be a great contour shade as it's more cool-toned than the original Hoola.

I love travelling and unfortunately, I don't travel light haha... I always bring a bag full of makeup so I thought that this palette would be great for travelling as it has everything you will need in it. I think that Galifornia would look great on its own as it has shimmer so will give an illusion of a highlighter.

Dandelion has been on my wishlist ever since I bought the Dandelion Shy Beam. I recently got back into wearing blusher after 5 years of swearing by bronzer and contour so I was pretty excited to start using this palette straight away. I find it gives a very natural blushed look which is perfect for every-day wear, especially for people who are a similar skin tone to me.

Last but not least, the Rockateur blusher. To be honest with you, I wasn't too fussed about it as the colours seem very similar to a blusher that I already own, but oh my is it a beauty! I love the shimmer in this blush, it's perfect for Spring as it adds a natural blushed look as well as some shimmer which can be a substitute for a highlight.

Overall, I must say this palette is amazing - it's not too big to travel with, you get a lot of product for your money which is great, and the products are great for all skin tones. The only downfall of this product is that it is still quite expensive compared to this set which actually has 8 products but costs less than 1?! Crazy - I just bought it as a treat for doing well at uni!

What do you think? Would you buy this kit? Have you tried any of the Benefit face products?

THE TWO BENEFIT PRODUCTS WHICH CAN BE A HIT OR A MISS

I have always been a big fan of the Benefit Porefessional, so when I found out that the product range was expanding I knew I had to try something out. I chose the Licence to Blot (discontinued) as I've not heard much about it and it sounds like a dream, right? Also, it was rather affordable for £14 (at the time) unlike the other products from that range.

Of course, Benefit's packaging is always 10/10 so I won't say much about it other than I love it. The product on the other hand, not so much...
It says to use under or over makeup, but from the reviews on their website I saw people complain about it moving their makeup around too much when used over foundation, so I knew I had to try it under my foundation but over the primer to see best results.

It says that it's an 'oil-blotting stick' but I don't think it is haha 😂😂 It actually makes my face more oily if that's even possible?? I was so disappointed with this product that I know for a fact I won't re-purchase it again and sort of don't want to use it now either... HUGE disappointment, as I really do love the original Porefessional!

On the other hand, the Dandelion Shy Beam (discontinued) has been a huge hit for me. I've heard a lot of people moan about this product saying it doesn't do anything for them because they like a blinding highlight, but why complain when it clearly says subtle MATTE highlighter? I think this is perfect for those with acne-prone skin, as it doesn't bring too much attention to pimples or imperfections on the skin which is a win-win for me.
I also think it's great for pale skin as it is a lighter shade with a pink undertone, which looks great on in Winter. I would also suggest wearing it to school if you're not allowed to wear a lot of makeup as it gives a lovely and natural glow without looking too extreme.

Review || Benefit Ultra Plush Lipgloss In Poutrageous! & Kiss You

Hello Beauties!

On my recent trip to Rhodes (You can read my post here), I went into Sephora hoping to pick up some Anastasia Beverly Hills products, however to my disappointment the store was very messy and disorganised with only a few things stacked up on the ABH shelf and all of them in unwanted shades.

However, they did have an amazing offer on these Benefit Lipglosses which I had my eyes on for quite some time now - they were 50% off! I bought the two for €10 each which is around £8! Woo Hoo go me.

I picked up the shades Kiss You and Poutragous!

Kiss You is a purple fuchsia shade which will look amazing on top of MAC's Up The Amp, or on its own as it's really pigmented.

Poutragous! Is a very lovely bright coral shade which is perfect for the summer.

Both of these smell amazing and don't feel sticky at all. I feel like I could wear these all year long as the colours are so versatile, however, I do find it hard to wear lipgloss when it's windy as my hair gets stuck to my lips! :(

Overall, I love the colours of these glosses, the consistency and the scent. These are a definite 9/10
and I recommend them to all of you!

If any of you have any tips on how to wear gloss in the summer please let me know!

Lots of love,

Review || Benefit Goof Proof Pencil & Ready, Set, Brow! First Impressions

Hi Everyone!

Who hasn't been excited about the launch of Benefit's new brow products range? Come out right now and I'll change your mind with this review.

I've always been a big fan of Benefit's packaging, I mean look at the boxes! They're so beautiful and make me want to keep my products in them for display haha!

Yet again, I'm very impressed with the actual packaging of the products. It is very classy, yet funky - just like all of Benefit's products.

Goof Proof Brow Pencil - I'm really impressed with this product, however I do wish that the magazine included more shades of this product (think I picked it up with Elle). I think I'd have to settle for either the lightest shade or the one shade darker. This one is actually the darkest shade and I think it would look perfect on someone with dark brown/black hair, but as I had recently tinted my eyebrows a dark shade, this one was a perfect match.

Ready, Set, Brow! - OMG, I can't stress enough about this product. It is a m a z i n g !!! It's a clear brow gel and you only need the smallest amount to set your brows. When I used it for the first time I definitely over used it as my eyebrows felt sooo stiff it was so hard to get the product out at the end of the day! Therefore, I do suggest that you use this sparingly and after you've filled in your brows.

Have you tried Benefit's new brow range? If so, what products did you manage to get your hands on?

Lots of love,

2016 || June Favourites

Hi Everyone!

I can't believe that June is over. I only have two months left until I have to go back to uni and I'm not looking forward to it at all :( this means that the next two months will consist of many blog posts and days spent at work trying to get myself out of beauty and fashion debts haha! On the other hand, here are some of the products that I've been loving the past month.

I particularly have been loving those products as they are what I think of when someone says 'holiday products', especially the R Cavalli perfume. I've had my Tangle Teezer for a couple of years now I think and there's not been a day that it let me down. I use it religiously on a daily basis and it's great to use on wet hair, especially once you've come out the pool/sea. The Dandelion Shy Beam is probably my favourite matte highlighter of all time. I only bought it a few months ago, probably within the first week of its release and I've been loving it ever since. I think it looks great on with a matte smokey eye so there isn't too much going on. On the other hand, "That Gal" primer was the very first benefit product I fell in love with 7 years ago when I tried it on. It smells amazing and makes my face feel super soft as well as gives me a natural glow. Last but not least, my trusty MAC Eyeshadow Quad. I bought the Pro Palette separately to the refills so I could make my very own small palette. I think you could really work with it and create many looks with using only 4 shadows. My palette includes the shades: Crystal Avalanche, Beauty Marked, Mythology and Cranberry.

What have you been loving in June?

Lots of love,
Maya xo
