Some of you may already know that I have joined Beth's Book Club at some point in 2020 when I needed to have some sense of community. Thanks to the beautiful pictures that often get re-shared on the Instagram page for the book club, I have come across the most gorgeous collector's editions of classic books that include some of my favourite titles.

TOP 5 || £5 & UNDER

So you're curious about my top 5 beauty products that cost £5 or less? Well, you've clicked on the right post because these products will change your makeup routine forever.
You might have probably already seen some of these items in previous posts as I cannot stress enough about how good they are. Let's start off with the L.A. Girl Pro Concealers - I bet you're bored of hearing about them but they are as good as they all say! I own the shades Porcelain for highlighting and concealing and the shade Toast for contouring, even though it's a little bit too warm toned for my liking. These come in a great variety of shades, including colour correcting concealers for better coverage. I have reviewed both of these shades already, so if you'd like to see what I thought of them in detail then click here to read my post.

Talking about the perfect base, my new favourite setting powder has to be the Collection Primed & Ready Invisible Setting Powder. Not only does it provide really good coverage, but it stays put all day and has witch hazel in it to keep the spots at bay! It costs a bit over £5 on Amazon, however you can get it on Superdrug for £3.99 when it's back in stock here.

There seems to be a pattern forming as the next two products I'm about to mention are also by Collection! Maybe they're the new best affordable brand? Moving on, glitter liners have been a big hit in the noughties, but now majority makeup fanatics and artists love to use loose glitter - not me because it goes everywhere hence why I love the Collection Glam Crystals Gel Liner. These come in a big range of colours and I own about 7 of them! The gold one is my most worn one as it goes with any eyeshadow looks and creates an instant glam effect. Another product which I think goes perfectly with the glitter liners is the Collection Extreme 24 Hours Felt Tip Liner as it glides on very smoothly, even on bumpy surfaces. The tip of this liner is very thin so it makes creating a slim and precise wing a lot easier!

Now, last but not least a set of 4 Eyeshadow Brushes for 97 pence! Yup, you heard it right 97p. I use these on a daily basis, even when I want to do simple eyeshadow look but especially when I go for a dramatic smokey eye as they are very easy to use, and for less than a quid you can't go wrong! Out of all these products, I would highly recommend the brushes and the concealers as they are something I use daily.

Autumn is definitely my favourite season of the year, even though I love Summer because it usually means that I get to travel somewhere nice, but Autumn is the season of cosy clothes and nice smelling candles. What I'm looking forward to the most is being able to wear dark lipstick and dark eyeshadow without getting judged by people - no, I am not a goth.

I don't necessarily think that this is a very dark or gothic look, but for me, this is the perfect Autumnal makeup look for my skin tone and hair colour. It is very flattering and easy to create, and here are the items I had used to create it:

The eyeshadows I had used include: NYX shadow in the shade Immaculate, and MUG shadows in shades Grandstand, Morocco, and Bitten. I wanted to wear a bit of eyeliner to make this look a bit more glam, but I'm out of practice and found this look glam enough to leave it as it is! The magic mascara that I've been obsessing over since the first use is the Lancome Hypnose Mascara. I love this one for elongating and volumising my lashes, it's got amazing coverage to it and I find that only one coat is enough for a full look.

If you've been after a full coverage foundation that isn't extortionate, then you need to try the L'Oreal Total Cover foundation, like, now. It glides on very smoothly and feels like velvet on my skin which is always a plus because who wouldn't want baby-soft skin? I find that the coverage of this product is very high - but I won't get into it too much as I'd like to save it for a full review. Of course, I had to use my current favourite concealer and contour shade, both by L.A. Girl as these work amazingly and the price is very much affordable! To set my foundation in place, I used the Collection Primed & Ready Invisible Setting Powder which works wonders for my combination skin, especially the oily t-zone. My favourite bronzer since 2015 has to be Hoola by Benefit which has actually lasted me nearly 2 years when I've been using it every day, so it's definitely worth the high price tag. To brighten up my face, I use my favourite Milani blusher in shade Tea Rose and Sleek highlighter in Midas Touch - I mix the pink and the white together for a blinding, yet natural highlight. My current go-to lipstick is the Colourpop Ultra Matte Lipstick in shade LAX, which was obviously applied over my favourite lip balm from Carmex.

As you can see, the majority of tools I had used to create this makeup look are by Real Techniques as they truly do amazing brushes, and I cannot wait to complete my collection! I also really want to try the Bold Metals collection, but because they're quite pricey I think I'll wait until Father Christmas pays a visit to my house! I also included a brush from MAC and Colourpop which are some of my all-time favourites.

*This post includes gifted items - all opinions are my own and are in no way influenced at all.

Have you caught up with my monthly favourites post? What's your favourite autumnal makeup look? Would you try this one out?

2016 || March Favourites

Hi Everyone!

I know, it's sooo late to do a March Favourites post but it's better to post late than never! I've been loving drugstore products lately and thought I'd share the most used ones with you today.

l-r : Makeup Revolution Contour Palette (£3.50), Sleek Highlightinh Palette (£9.99), Maybelline Great Lash Mascara (£4.99), Maybelline Colour Tattoo (£4.99 each), Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer (£5.49) and Extreme Felt Tip Liner (£2.50).

You can read a full review of the Sleek Palette here, and the Maybelline Mascara here.

I have especially been loving Makeup Revolution as a brand for the past few weeks. They are so affordable and the new items they keep coming up with are to die for! For instance, this contour palette only cost me £3.50 from superdrug and it comes with a matte bronzer (very similar to Benefit's Hoola), a soft highlighter and a peachy blush. 3 in 1! It's quite small as well which makes it perfect size for your makeup bag to keep it with you on the go.

The two Maybelline Colour Tattoo cream Eyeshadows will take over my life - I swear! I adore MaC's Paint Pots, but these are the next best thing and for such a low price compared to MAC's pricey £16 per pot you can't go wrong. I am looking forward to expanding my collection as they are so easy to blend and wear that I need more colours!

I'm not the biggest concealer user, however this one has taken my breath away with its coverage and luminosity in one! I love to use it under my eyes to brighten up my face, however the only issue I have with this concealer is that I use the lightest shade and it's still not as light as I'd like it to be :(

I picked up Collection's Extreme Liner as I wanted to try out a new felt tip liner because I'm getting bored of my MAC Blacktrack gel liner. This one is really dark and long lasting, however I've noticed that it smudges easily. If I find one that's waterproof I'd definitely buy it, but for not this one does the job just fine as long as I don't touch my eyes or let them water!

What have you loved last month? Have you tried any of the products I mentioned above? If so, how did you get on with them?

Lots of love,
Maya xo

My MAC Make-up Collection

Good Morning Beauties!
I have wanted to share my slowly-growing MAC make-up collection for a while now, baring in mind that I have taken those photos a few days ago and have gotten more things from the store, I still wanted to go through my most loved and least liked MAC products.
MAC Brush Cleanser: I've heard so many good things about this cleanser and wanted to try it out ever since I bought my first make-up brushes, and I finally had the opportunity to buy a bottle from my local MAC store for a whopping price of £11 which is not cheap but totally worth it. It smells of acetone which is not pleasant but it does the job at disinfecting the brushes and getting rid of all the bacteria.

MAC Prep+Prime: I'm pretty sure that every make-up fanatic knows about this primer. I'm a huge primer lover, and needed to buy a new one after running out of my Benefit POREfessional primer, even though I bought the new Instablur primer from The Body Shop and love it so much, I still wanted a new one to try. It is very silky and smooth in touch, a bit thick and creamy like a moisturiser making it easier to apply onto the face. It gives a flawless finish to the skin and looks amazing teamed up with a MAC foundation.

MAC Studio Moisture Fix SPF 15: I'm not the biggest fan of this moisturiser mostly because of the scent. It smells of walnuts and the scent is so strong that it over powers the smell of the rest of my make-up and even my perfume! It's thick and creamy and easy to apply and spread around your face. I don't think I will buy this product again. I'd rather stick to my Boots Essentials Cucumber Moisturiser which only costs me £1.50.

MAC Micronised Airbrush Cleanser: I've bought this product thinking it was a normal face cleanser, but it turned out to be the airbrush gun cleanser instead! Haha, oh dear silly me. However, I do use it to cleanse off any excess make-up off my face as the consistency is just like baby oil to which I am allergic to, but this cleanser is actually really good for taking make-up off and makes my skin feel fresh and soft.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NW15: I love this foundation. It really is as good as everyone claims it to be. Unfortunately, the make-up artist that helped me choose the shade was very nice, however she picked the wrong one and it was too yellowy for me and made me look like I was wearing a mask, so serious shading and contouring was needed! I've recently ran out of this foundation after having it since Christmas, so I will be buying a new one very soon! Hopefully this time my colour will be matched perfectly.. I believe that I'm a NW13 shade!!!

MAC Liquid Eye liner in Boot: My favourite liquid eye liner so far, and believe me when I say that I've tried a LOT of them. It's very easy to apply and glides on smoothly. It is a bit sheer so you will have to apply two coats for a darker effect, but it's perfect to use for smokey-eye effect if you don't want the eye-liner to look too bold. A definite 10/10.

MAC 190 Foundation Brush: One of my favourite make-up brushes. I only use this brush for my MAC foundation as it applies it on very smoothly. I recommend it to anyone who uses thick liquid foundation. It is pricey, but oh-so worth it!

MAC Zoom Lash Mascara: I'm going to be honest with you about this product, as I don't like it at all. It makes my eyelashes look very clumpy and it stings so much when it gets in your eye!! It's also really hard to get off, and I need to use waterproof mascara to get it off and it still stays on! This could be a good thing if the mascara wasn't so crap itself.

MAC Eye Kohl in Smolder: I really like this kohl pencil as it glides on smoothly, but it does smudge very easily which can be a good thing if you're opting for a smokey-eye effect.

MAC Clear Lipglass: I love this lipgloss. It is very thick and non-sticky and makes my lips look so delicious! I use it as a top coat for my lipsticks to make my lips stand out a bit more. I recommend this product to every reader!

MAC Lipstick in Brave: My very first MAC item. I love this lipstick and there isn't a day that goes by when I don't want to wear it. It is the perfect nude lip colour and I will definitely purchase another one when I run out of this one! It is a satin finish which looks lovely on my rather large lips, and with a smokey eye it's just perfection.

MAC Lipstick in Rose Lilly: A perfect mix of pink and blue in a lipstick. It is very shimmery and a lustre finish which is the perfect glamorous shade/effect a girl needs on a night out!

Mac Lipstick in Viva Glam Gaga: Anyone who knows me, will know that I'm a huge Lady Gaga fan. This lipstick it such a beautiful pale pink colour that I enjoy to wear it on it's own on a bare face. It's stylish and sophisticated, just like my favourite gal - Gaga.

MAC Eye shadow in Deep Truth: A lovely deep blue colour. One of my favourites. It's perfect for a night out and great to team up with a matching nail varnish!

MAC Eye shadow in Naked Lunch: Tanya Burr's favourite eye shadow had to be bought. I really like it as it is completely nude and nearly the exact same colour as my eyelids but it is perfect for a nude daily make-up look. Perfect for school or college.

MAC Eye shadow in Era: Like Naked Lunch, this shade is also nude but a little bit more brown. I love to team it up with Naked Lunch and Beauty Marked for a soft smokey eye effect.

MAC Eye shadow in Beauty Marked: I adore this colour. It is a very deep plum/brown shade with tiny glitters inside. I use it to create a smokey eye with a shimmery effect. Every make-up fanatic should own this eye shadow.

MAC Cream Colour Base in Luna: Love the texture of this base, it's very silky and smooth, almost like the Urban Decay eye shadow potion. The colour is very sheer so I can use it as a base under any eye shadow colour.

MAC Mineralize eye shadow in Shimmermint: This minty shade is nice teamed up with Frozen Blue and Deep Truth as it makes blue eyes stand out. I don't really use this shade as it is quite hard to find other shades to combine with this one, but it can be used as a highlighter which can be useful to other make-up artists as I use the High Beam highlighter by Benefit.

MAC Mineralize eye shadow in Frozen blue: Like shimmermint, I don't use this shadow a lot but when I do I like to mix it up with other blue shades or use as a highlighter.

MAC Pro Palette x12 insert: I've wanted to organise my MAC eye shadows for a while now, and I finally can! I will put up an updated picture of what the palette looks like with my eye shadows in very soon!

MAC Pro Palette x4 insert: I bought this quad palette for my fake mac eye shadows. It looks very nice, and obviously real! They eye shadow that's inside the palette is one called Mauve by Coastal Scents and I love it! It looks like NARS Orgasm Blush but in an eye shadow! I love it.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me!
