REVIEW || JOLIE BEAUTY SECOND SKIN HIGHLIGHTERS IN SAINTLY AND DREAMING

*This post contains PR items from Jolie Beauty. In this picture I am wearing the shade 'Saintly'.

I recently came across the brand Jolie Beauty on a blogging assignment website where I could apply for a collaboration to review a highlighter from this company. I was pleasantly surprised to receive two of the Jolie Beauty Second Skin Highlighters in shades 'Saintly' and 'Dreaming'.

Jolie Beauty is a brand created by experienced makeup artists, wanting to make products that are the highest quality with an affordable price tag. All products are cruelty-free and most are vegan; thus being very ethically-aware when it comes to cosmetics. I don't tend to buy any makeup or skincare items that aren't cruelty-free, and mostly I look for the vegan labels too.

Jolie Highlighter in shade 'Dreaming':

This gorgeous shade of highlighter is called 'Dreaming' and is recommended to use on light-medium skin tones on the website and is described as a gorgeous pop of light warm champagne. I really like this shade when I wear fake tan, as it is too warm for me on my natural skin tone.

The first time I swatched this highlighter I was in absolute awe at the pigment and creaminess of the product. It swatched very nicely on my fingers and there wasn't much fallout either which I guess proves how creamy this highlighter actually is.

As you can see, the packaging of this highlighter is a lovely copper colour, and comes with a mirror on the inside of the compact. The packaging is very lightweight, therefore super travel friendly however because the packaging is so light it almost lacks the premium feel to it that some of my other highlighters have. Don't get me wrong, this isn't the most important aspect of a product, but I do like a premium looking/feeling makeup item.

Jolie Highlighter in shade 'Saintly':

Now moving onto the shade 'Saintly'. This one is definitely a shade that's very suited to my natural skin tone which is fair-light, and you can see me wearing it in the first two pictures in this post. I have also filmed a first impressions reel on my Instagram for this highlighter.

Like I've mentioned throughout this post already, the texture of this highlighter is very creamy and doesn't have much fallout when used with a brush. The packaging looks very pretty and is super lightweight - making it travel-friendly. This shade, however is very pretty and I don't know about you, but I find it really hard trying to find a more gold-ish toned highlighter that's suitable for fair skin.

I've been wearing this highlighter nearly everyday since receiving it, and I must say that I am pretty chuffed with it! It looks beautiful on the skin, not too bright and more natural; although it still looks pretty bright on the skin ✨

Overall, I will say that these highlighters are lovely if you are looking for something that's middle-end and vegan & cruelty free. I think that for the price per product, it is worth the money as it does last all day long and looks goregous on the skin.

Have you tried any products from Jolie Beauty before? What is your favourite highlighter of all time?
