BLOGMAS 2017 || DAY 4 - MY TOP 10 CHRISTMAS MOVIES

1) Love Actually:
This is probably one of my all-time favourite movies ever made, not just for Christmas! It's very heartwarming and a great film for the whole family to watch together.

2) Elf:
Well, what can I say?! This is the number 1 family movie. It is funny, it is sweet, it is suitable for kids from a young age... Elf is many people's favourite movie and an obvious choice for this list.

3) The Holiday:
This is the perfect movie if you fancy something light-hearted and need to restore your faith in love (or humanity in some cases). This movie always makes me appreciate older people and their past, as well as driving me to do more good deeds.

4) Home Alone:
Duh! I don't think there's much I can say about this film other than that it is something I grew up watching every year on Christmas Eve before bed. It has a lot of sentimental meaning to my family and I'm sure I'll be watching it in 20 days!

5) The Nightmare Before Christmas:
Some people will find this film scary and others will argue that it's a Halloween movie, but to me, it will always be a Christmas film I enjoyed watching when I was little.

6) A Christmas Carol:
Yet again, this film can be a little scary for little ones because of the ghosts in Scrooge's life, but it is a classic and a must-watch every Christmas for me.

7) The Polar Express:
I have a very fond memory of this movie as it was the very first time I watched a 3D film at the cinema. I loved the storyline and the characters in this film, and it will bring Christmas spirit to all the Scrooges out there!

8) Arthur Christmas:
I have only watched this movie for the first time a year ago, but I have seen it around 5 times since because of how good it is! I love how happy and excited James McAvoy sounds as Arthur, and it just melts my heart!

9) The Santa Clause:
I can imagine my dad really enjoying this film, I'm not sure if he's already seen it but it's his type of humour! It'll definitely make its way on my movie playlist this season.

10) Fred Claus:
Last but not least, a Christmas comedy that's worth watching! I absolutely adore Vince Vaughn, I think he's a fantastic actor and any film with him is great but this one is definitely one of the best!

What do you like to watch during the festive season? Can you recommend any more movies for me to watch?

Lots of love,
Maya xo

2016 || DECEMBER FAVOURITES

December was an amazing month for beauty products. I managed to get hold of some great items which are all high end, but are they worth the high price tag?

I haven't tried many Kiehl's products before but after hearing some of my favourite bloggers - including Emma - rave about them, I had to buy something to try out for myself. I decided to pick up a toner, as I always buy the Clean&Clear one which I love but I feel it's too harsh for my skin type. My skin is dry in some places and oily in others so I thought I'll try the oil-free toner to use daily. I love the smell and consistency of it. It feels like it's gliding onto my skin making it feel fresh and plump. I definitely recommend it to those who have combination or oily skin, if you have a dry skin type the go for the original toner as I've also heard some pretty good reviews about it.

One of the items I asked for last Christmas was the Black Opium perfume as I've been lusting over it ever since it came out two years ago. It smells amazing and I couldn't pull myself to spend so much money on a fragrance, whereas my parents were struggling on what to get me so I thought I'd ask for this beauty! Oh boy, I am not disappointed at all - it smells divine and I can wear is as an every-day scent as well as in the evening.

The Urban Decay setting spray has been so hyped up by so many bloggers including Jeffree Star and Nikkie Tutorials, so I finally decided to get one and try it out for myself. I find that it sets my makeup well and makes it last longer, however it's not as hydrating as I was hoping for it to be. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a great product but I was expecting slightly bit more from it for the price. I do like the new design of the packaging though and know for a fact that I will be repurchasing this product!

Last but not least, the Star Trek for MAC limited edition highlighter in Luna Luster is a-m-a-z-i-n-g!!! It's great for those who love to collect LE pieces, as well as enjoy a natural glow to their face. This highlighter isn't as blinding as I was hoping for it to be, but it's still very beautiful and great for an every-day makeup look.

What did you love last December? Have you tried any of the products I've mentioned?

Lots of love,

TB to Birmingham Clothes Show Live 2014

Morning my beauties!

I am so excited and happy to announce that I went to the Clothes Show Live in Birmingham for the second time! I loved it so much last year that I knew I wanted to come back this year - especially with all the amazing bargains you can find while you're there! I have unfortunatelly broke my laptop and it's been sent off to get fixed (my poor baby) so I won't include too many pictures in this post, but I want you guys to see how great it was!
This year I have been given a chance to meet and greet some of the models and designers so I'm super excited to share all this with you guys! Just be patient and wait until I write another post about this year's show.

Me and Amarah were both hat crazy last year! My hat is from Primark £6 and she bought hers at the show for only £5!
Hat - £6, Coat - £23, Scarf - £6, Boots - £18, PVC Skirt - £5 all from Primark.
I look like such a tourist! I loved my first time in Birmingham - especially the Bullring shopping centre!
Felt like right VIP's sat in a double decker party bus at the show!

Did you go to any clothes sho this year? If so, did you enjoy them?

Lots of love,

Tanya Burr for Glamour Magazine

Hey guys!

So yesterday I picked up a copy of one of my all time favourite magazines - Glamour. I was so excited when I watched Tanya Burr's video where she announced that she's going to be on the cover of Glamour's December issue. She looks phenomenal. She's always been portrayed as the good girl but now we can see a different side to her - slightly more edgy and sexy. I must say she definitely is my new girl crush!
I think what excited me more than Tanya looking fabulous, was the free gift that came with the mag! Clinique have always been one of my top high-end brands and to find out that they were collaborating with Glamour yet again and this time they included lipsticks was like music to my ears! I quickly grabbed a copy with a gorgeous nude lipstick shade and I instantly fell in love with it. I know there's an another shade which is more reddish - I think it's called Cherry Pop? Either way, it will be mine once I find it!

Did you manage to get a copy for yourself? If so, what free gift did you choose?

Lots of love,

You have a more interesting life if you wear impressive clothes. - Vivienne Westwood

Hey lovelies!
I noticed that I haven't been posting much lately, and that's only because I have been so busy at college and work that I barely had any time to myself! (sob, sob). So, I got a new job and I couldn't be happier about it! It isn't too hard but it's very tiring :( however I cannot wait till pay day!! I already decided what I'm going to buy, and it's all going to be in this loooong post! ;)

I particularly like this top  because of the bright green colour. It would complement my blue eyes and make them stand out more. The lace flowers are so fashionable and would look really nice with black skinny jeans and Chelsea boots.
This festive jumper is so so so so cute! I must have it!
I need a midi dress, but I hope it won't make me look too short so I will deffo buy some sky scrapers to go with it!
This playsuit is so adorable and sexy. The silky material just makes me want to touch it! It looks a little bit like a night time slip, but who cares?! It's gorgeous!
Cable knit jumpers are my favourite kind, so I will definitely be buying this one! especially as the colour is so lovely and will look good on my pale skin.
I know that this is a men's shirt, but it's so America, and I just love America too much not to buy it, especially as it's such a bargain for £7 from Primark!
No words need to be said other than 'look at the previous picture'.
This picture is so tiny but what can I say, the jumpsuit is so pretty it makes me want to cry that I don't own it yet.
This camisole style dress will make me look a lot slimmer and hopefully make my bust look larger he he!
Those leggings though... I would feel like a princess wearing them with my salmon camisole!
I only have one midi skirt and I think it looks great on me, but I need a plain black one so it would go with more of my tops!
This watch is just perfect especially as it's only £19.99 at New Look! I will definitely purchase this item as I need a new watch and of course it's such a bargain!
My eyelashes are already long and thick, but 2 pairs of Eylure fake eyelashes for £5.99 at New Look is just such an amazing thing! I love wearing fake eyelashes as it makes me feel more feminine so I will deffo buy them!
I've heard many good reviews on this highlighter and I really want to try it, seeing as I'm running out of the one I normally use!
As I've said before, I love Benefit's primers, and I currently use POREfessional, but I'm running out of it boohoo :( so I won't be buying the same one again as I'd like to try this one. I've had a tester of I before and I love the smell of it and it makes my face look so much brighter and healthier.
Now, now, now. MAC make up is so good and I love it. I really need to buy a new brush cleanser because the one I use now makes my brushes feel really coarse :(
The next foundation I will be buying is the Studio Fix from MAC. I heard that it smells horrible but works wonders on the face!
Another Studio Fix foundation but in a form of a powder. I will probably take this foundation with me everywhere I go as it's rather small and would fit in my little hand bag!
This translucent powder is perfect as it will give my foundation a satin finish on my face so it doesn't look caked up.
This blush is gorgeous. The colour will make my cheeks look more lively so I don't look too pale!!
My favourite MAC products must be their lipsticks. I particularly like this one as the colour would complement my blue eyes and blonde hair.
And here come the eye shadows. I particularly like those four colours as they go well together and I could mix and match them with my other eye shadows. The dewy finish will make my eyes stand out more, which is just what I want!

That's it for today my lovelies.
Have a good night!
Lots of love,
Maya xo
