REVIEW || GARNIER ULTIMATE BLENDS PLUMPING HAIR FOOD WATERMELON & POMEGRANATE SHAMPOO, CONDITIONER AND MASK

When I first saw that Garnier brought out a watermelon scented range of their Ultimate Blends collection I knew I had to have it because if you know anything about me you will know that I love anything watermelon scented. I'm a huge fan of the Banana hair mask from Garnier and I haven't tried any of the other products, including the shampoos or conditioners. On my recent walk, I decided to go into my local Boots store and pick up the shampoo, conditioner and mask from the watermelon collection and I just couldn't wait to smell them!

Review || Vidal Sassoon Illuminating Restore/Clean Hair Products

Hiya!

As you guys read here about my recent trip to Vidal Sassoon for a haircut, I will finally share with you my honest opinion of the experience and their products! (Not that any of my opinions are biased, but I was really shocked with how these products worked).

Here you can see the round bottle which is the shampoo and the one next to it is a deep treatment
conditioner - I didn't buy the normal conditioner as I thought I would benefit from this one more.

Scent:
Very pleasant as it smells fresh and isn't irritating to the nose and scalp. I must say that it doesn't smell as good as I thought I would - I expected it to be more fruity or just sweeter in general just to make m hair smell amazing after it's been washed, however it makes it smell like clean bedsheets, which is not a bad scent whatsoever but it is not up to my standards, especially for the price.

Texture:
Glides on very smoothly, feels almost like unset jelly. It feels like you need a lot of product in order to lather it into your hair which obviously isn't good at all. The shampoo feels like a coat of conditioner rather than leaving my hair feel clean, and the treatment doesn't nourish my hair that well.

Overall, I must say I am really disappointed with those products especially as the shampoo was around £18 and the treatment £24 each. I really expected it to do wonders to my hair as my stylist as Vidal Sassoon suggested. But then again, I was happy with the way my hair turned out for a day, and it's safe to say that I will never spend so much money on unreliable hair products or £80 for a haircut!! Total waste of money if you ask me.

Have you tried any of Vidal Sassoon's products? What were your opinions?

Lots of love,

Drugstore Beauty Haul

So, yesterday I went a bit mad at Boots and bought a few beauty items - even though I was only after a foundation! I grabbed myself a basket and started shoving everything I liked in it. I did save a lot of money as most the items I purchased were on offer.
So as you can see, I bought L'oreal's Line Studio Hair products, foundation and primer. Then from Rimmel I got a foundation and powder, and from Seventeen (One of my all-time favourite high street brands) I got a brow kit, bronzer, mascara and lipstick.

First up, we've got the Seventeen products. So, I've never used these but have heard great things about those products. The Brow's That kit was on my wishlist for quite a while now, especially as I've seen how amazing it looks on my mum as she has one. I really enjoyed using it and it's a fantastic dupe for Benefit's BrowZings but comes with a brow pencil and a highlighter for the brow bone instead of the tweezers. a small brow brush is also included, however, I prefer to use an angled brush for my brows.
The Instant Glow Bronzing Powder in Medium caught my eye as I was looking at powders in the 17 section. It is very pigmented and looks natural at the same time. It's matte so it gave me a nice subtle and natural-looking contour. I will definitely repurchase this product when (or shall I say IF) I run out of it, as it's very pigmented and you don't need a lot of the product for the desired look. I would say it's very good for beginners as is a much cheaper option than opting for Benefit's Hoola.
The Supreme Shine Lipstick in shade Bon Bon is a great dupe for Ellie Goulding's MAC lipstick in shade 'Only You'. The finish is lustre but is quite pigmented and looks natural - my new go-to lipstick for a natural look!
Right, moving onto the mascara - I didn't realise that I picked out the colour Brown/Black, therefore, I can't say much about it as I will be exchanging it for a black one, but I really like the slim packaging of it!

I've wanted to try L'oreal's Infallible products for quite a while now and was stuck between the matte and satin finish foundations. As you can see, I decided to go for the Matte finish as it provides full coverage - and I have enough light to medium coverage foundations so thought I'll try this one out. I really like the primer, it has a gel texture and glides on beautifully onto my skin, filling out all the pores and imperfections. The foundation is also a very good buy, YAY! It does not look drying when it comes out of the tube and is very easy to apply. It does not dry as soon as in contact with skin which makes it really easy to blend. I would say I prefer this foundation to MAC's Studio Fix, but I need to wear it for a few days before making my mind up completely.

If there is anyone who hasn't yet tried Rimmel's Stay Matte powder then you really need to reconsider whether you really are into make-up or not. It is my holy grail and for only £3.99 I don't see why you wouldn't have it in your make-up bag already. I always choose the shade 'transparent' to set my foundation. It does not dry out my skin and makes it look natural as well as mattifying.
I've not tried the foundation yet, but I've heard many good things about it. I am slightly concerned about the shade though as it has a yellow undertone and looks like it would suit someone with olive skin, rather than pale me. However, it is the lightest shade from the collection and I am willing to try it even if I have to apply fake tan beforehand.
Last but not least, a few non-beauty products. I don't know about you, but I always have a body spray in my handbag to use throughout the day - it's a necessity if you're always busy and on the go. This one was actually reduced to 43 pence I think, total bargain!
I do like L'oreal's hair products and I've used the hair mousse before and loved it, therefore repurchased it for the first time. On the other hand, the Sculpting Spritz is a new addition to my hair products and I am hoping it will keep my hair in place! I do love a sleek ponytail or hair swept back and straight. I will do a full review of it once I start using it.

Have you used any of those products? If so, did you like them? What other high street products do you recommend?

Lots of love,

2015 || June Favourites

Hello Beauty Lovers!
Last month I've been loving everything to do with hair dye! I had three different colours in June - from blonde to grey and then to pink. You can read about my journey with grey hair here. All the products in this post have been bought at Poundworld - yes you are reading this right!!
Firstly, the eylure eyelashes are one of my favourite pairs I have ever bought, and believe me when I say that I've used a lot of pairs in my life! I can't believe they were at my local poundworld!! I will definitely buy more pairs next time I see them. They look great on and feel like feathers as they are very light weight.

The Jerome Russell lighting spray has actually worked well since the first use. I can see a change in my hair colour and it looks as if I had recently put in some highlights. I would highly recommend this product if you have light hair and are after a balayage effect.

It was the first time I have come across the Kinky Curly Straight brand and I must say that I am beyond impressed with the quality of the conditioner and the ingredients are mostly natural unlike other brands. It has a variety of oils which are good for your hair and full of nutrients. I will definitely buy the whole collection next time.

The Mellors&Russell simply bright hair dye in pink is actually quite effective. I wouldn't say it was amazing and the colour didn't come out as I was expecting, this however could be due to my hair not being light enough, but it's a good product for the price and is worth buying if you already have very light or bleached hair ready for some colour.

On the other hand, their simply bright non permanent colouring conditioner has worked a bit better on my hair leaving it with a nice pinky-peach colour. I have although kept it on for only 5 minutes rather than the recommended 15, so I guess the longer you keep the dye on the better the result.

Have you tried any of those products? If yes then please mention which ones in comments below!

Lots of love,

The Big October Giveaway

Good Evening Honey Bees,
As the weather is getting harsher you need to take care of your hair more and make sure it is wind proof and silky smooth at all times. And this is why I decided that I will treat you guys to a few favourites of mine this month. Altogether the products are worth over £100. I don't remember individual prices but I know that it comes up to £100 something!
As you can see, there are 5 different products for you to win. They are all professional products used by hair dressers in posh salons to restore the hairs natural strength and oils.
This is an amino cell rebuild heat protection cream for coloured hair. I personally love this product and think it makes my hair very soft when styling it with a hair dryer or straighteners. It restores the hairs natural strength and makes it somehow thicker. how about I will let you try this out for yourself?

This is an another product by Schwarzkopf Bonacure which rebuilds amino cells. It's a leave-in spray conditioner which moisturises hair and leaves it hydrated for a whole day.

This is a product by Wella ProSeries and is specifically designed to make your hair bouncy and big with a lightweight feel. It's perfect for this weather as it won't weight down your hair, even when you're wearing a hat - you will still look fabulous as per usual.

I usually use this product on nights out so my hair stays put in one place instead of going everywhere when I'm dancing. It repairs damaged hair such as making it softer, thicker and stronger with its special formula.

This straightening cream is great for frizzy and out-of-control hair which needs extra maintenance. It's designed for curly hair, however I use it on my wavy hair to make it stay straight for longer. It really is great when it comes out to getting frizz out of your hair.
So guys, now it's up to you to win this. I will give you until the 31st October to try and enter for this giveaway as much as you can.
