Toiletries Update

Hey guys!
I recently went toiletry shopping because I was lacking hair care products! Obviously being me, I didn't just buy hair care products but also all the items I think I would need.

I was after a leave in hair conditioner which would leave my hair feeling soft and reduce the roughness of my split ends. I decided to get the Argan Oil leave in hair treatment in spray. I also got the Argan Oil hair mask for a weekly use to leave my hair looking more healthy. Then I saw the Argan Oil night serum for tired and dry skin so I thought that I might as well buy that to complete the set (I already have the hair oil), and also my skin needs some TLC at night as I don't feel like my moisturiser stays on the whole night. On the shelf above the Argan Oil products they had dry shampoos. I can't live without a good old bottle of Batiste! I was going to choose Batiste Tropical, but Treseme has caught my eye because it's in a form of foam?! I was shocked that they would make a foam dry shampoo as it would just make my hair wet? So I bought it!
Of course, every girl also needs some facial prpducts like face masks. I usually have some laying around my room but I couldn't find any last time I wanted to use it so I decided to buy a few more just in case I feel like exfoliating my face. Those face masks are some of my favourites as they come in two packs for under £1 each!
Ony way to the till I saw a few more products which caught my attention. I got the white nail tips from Nailene as I love having a French Manicure and I usually do it by myself. It saves money on acrylics! The last thing that I chose was Nair's facial hair roll-on wax. It's pink... Pink wax... haha my obsession has no end!!
Anyway, that's it for today :) Hope you're all doing okay!

Review || Real Techniques Brushes

Hello everyone :)
I hope you're all okay an have been enjoying this half term, I certainly have! Upcoming mock exams are stressing me out too much!
In today's post I decided to review Real Techniques Core Collection brushes. I have heard so much about their brushes and thought I must have them! I bought the Core Collection which includes (l-r) pointed foundation brush, detailer brush, buffing brush and contour brush.
As you can see above, the brushes look quite elegant and professional, and at the price of £21.99 for a whole set with a brush stand/case it's an amazing bargain. I'm sorry about the brushes being dirty, I forgot to take some pictures when I first got them and ran out of brush cleanser so had to post those!!

Pointed foundation brush: I really like this brush, it let's me apply my foundation on very evenly and rubs in quite well, leaving my face looking very airbrushed and smooth. It's very soft in touch and it's shape allows me to use it all over my face, especially around small areas where my old foundation brush didn't let me.
The only downfall of this brush is that it's a bit too small for my liking and takes much longer to apply my foundation.

Detailer brush: I use this brush to apply concealer on my face as it's very small and handy. It allows me to blend the concealer onto the wanted area without rubbing my foundation off. It could also be used as a lip brush but I prefer to use it to apply concealer.

Buffing brush: I love this brush so much. It's the softest one of all and all I want to do with it is stroke my face because it feels like velvet! I use it to apply my powder and it spread it out evenly on my face and uses up quite a lot of the product so you only need about 3 dabs all over the face by dipping it into the powder once and you're ready to go.

Contour brush: I use this brush to apply blush or bronzer, because I prefer having orangey/brown cheeks rather than pinky/red because of my complexions. I usually contour my face around the cheekbones, forehead and jawline with this brush, but it I cannot be bothered or don't have enough time to do that then I use it just on my cheeks.
Here you can see the top of the brushes and what they look like. You can't really see the foundation brush as the buffing brush is so big, it's literally hiding it haha.

Hope this helps if anyone is unsure whether to buy this set or not :)

Favourite item of the month

Hello my lovelies!
I wanted to do something new and decided to do one post a month of my favourite item at the time. I thought this would give me more post ideas and also I get to share my personal style with you as today's post is about my favourite earrings at the moment.
I got these from Primark about a month ago in the sale for £1. Obviously I was really excited to wear them for the first time and ever since, I barely change them for others. Last year was all about statement necklaces, but this year for me is all about the statement earrings! I especially really like the aztec print on the wings, it gives the earrings a somehow exotic look. The gem ib the middle makes them look very girly and maybe even quite formal?

Recent Purchases

Hi guys!
As everyone knows, today is Valentine's day. Unlike most people I don't really like celebrating this event, because you shouldn't need an excuse or just one day a year to be nice and loving towards your partner, as this should be done every day. I have been with Kieran for a while now and we have never paid much attention to this day as we show affection all the time :)
Anyway, I went out shopping with my best friend Amarah yesterday and we had our make up done by Benefit. Of course I bought some make up from there, you don't even need to ask!

The high beam highlighter is £19.50 and is used to illuminate your skin and to give you natural looking glow.
It looks like a large nail varnish bottle.
Another pair of frilly socks. (my obsession has no limits)
Those gorgeous cut out shoes/boots are from Topshop. They were on sale for an amazing £18! They only had size 7 left but with my eye for bargains I found the last size 5 pair, even though I'm usually size 6 these fit perfectly.

I hope you enjoyed this short post, let me know what you think and maybe what I should write about next time?
Lots of love,

Recent Purchases

Hey guys!
Wow it's February already! Next thing you know it'll be Summer! So, I recently got paid again and decided to go out shopping, because why not? I ordered a few items online as well, because I knew that if I went to have a look at them in store they will either be out of stock or have all sizes but mine left.

Cute little coral bracelet, I have a thing for bright colours at the moment.
I fell in love with this playsuit as soon as I laid my eyes on it. It's so girly and cute, I can't even express my opinion towards it! I got it in size 10 and it's tight on me and it's a bit short, so I will wait until Summer to wear it.
I got this white skater dress from Topshop and I wasn't too sure if I liked it at first. Then I've seen one of my friends wearing the same one but green so I thought 'wow if only I look half as good in this dress as she does then I'd be happy' so I added it to my basket. Just as I was about to process the payment, I got a notification saying they don't have size 8 any more, but I liked the dress so much that I got it in size 10. Wise move I would say, because it is very tight and I could barely put it over my head! However, it looks really nice when it's on, just add a gold statement necklace to it and some cute stud earrings and voilla! :)
I got this strapped top because I thought it would look very nice with shorts or leggings, especially when I go on holiday. The material is quite stiff but should be softer after a wash.
I got this leotard because I needed something to wear with my new red shorts (scroll down). It's from Miss Selfridge and it was on sale!! I was really lucky because they only had my size left! And it was low in stock too. I would say, this leotard will look better on top heavy girls because of the mesh material in the middle.
I bought this gorgeous slip dress especially for going out clubbing. It's so classy but sexy at the same time. It falls perfectly on my body, which I am very pleased about! It's so pretty that it doesn't need any extra accessories but a clutch bag, drop earrings and high heels. I got it in size 8 because it's very loose, but it's meant to be like that.
I bought these Kurt Geiger jelly shoes especially for my holiday this year, however I think it would be a crime if I din't start wearing them as soon as the weather gets better haha!!
I love frilly socks!!!
This roll neck crop top is definitely by far one of the best things I have ever purchased as it looks really good on me and I can wear it as a casual outfit with a pair of shorts or jeans, or for a night out with disco pants! I really need it in more than one colour, but sadly they didn't have any left in store at Primark as it sold out quickly due to being just £2.
I picked up this skirt as I thought it would look nice with a bandeau top and a blazer for a night out in the Spring.
I've wanted to buy some midi rings for ages now, and I found some lovely and very much affordable ones in Primark. They look really nice if you stack them up with normal sized rings and have pretty nail varnish on. :)
All I have to say is - gorgeous chain for £4.
The red shorts. Not just any original shorts, but THE shorts. I was just walking around in Primark and they caught my attention from distance. I thought 'I must have them'. It took me a while to find them in my size as I had to chase a few of the workers around. (Sounds desperate but they're too perfect to miss out on). They make me look so slim!!! Definitely worth purchasing, especially as they have them in other colours too.
This maxi skirt is a must buy! It really compliments my figure and makes my legs look much longer, and for me being 5ft4 is kind of an achievement! The print is really psychedelic and would look great with a plain vest or a bandeau top.
This jumper is so cosy and you don't have to wear anything underneath it (I mean a strap top, not a bra;)) to make it look nice. It compliments curvy figures e.g. top heavy, and also hides a 'muffin top'.

Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this post and I shall write to you again soon!
Lots of love,
Maya xo
