REVIEW || PRIMARK LIQUID MATTE LIPSTICK

I'm a huge fan of Primark's PS PRO beauty range (you can read my review of their other products here), so when I found out about the release of liquid lipsticks I nearly collapsed.

There weren't too many different shades to choose from, so I picked one which I knew I would get a lot of wear out of. I thought this shade resembles Jeffree Star's Posh Spice, which I've been lusting over for a long time so this cheaper alternative is basically perfect.

This liquid lipstick only cost £3, which is an amazing bargain. The packaging is similar to Jeffree Star's in style, and even the applicator is very alike!

The colour, as you can see above, is quite different when swatched than what it's like in the bottle. It sort of oxidises as it turned out warmer than expected.

The consistency is quite thick and it is very opaque, if I had to compare it to another liquid lipstick it would have to be NYX's Lip Lingerie in Embellishment (read my review here) but at a fraction of the price.

I would highly recommend getting one of these to try out, I guarantee you will fall in love with the product and the price haha.

What's your favourite liquid lipstick? Have you tried any of Primark's beauty products?

REVIEW || GIORGIO ARMANI LIGHT MASTER PRIMER

Remember the craze over MAC's Strobe Cream? Well, that's how I felt about this primer as I was buying it - to add a natural and radiant glow to my skin. I had also bought the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation (read my review here), so I thought it'd be best to get the 'matching' primer and try both out!

The Giorgio Armani Light Master Primer sounds like the perfect match for the Luminous Silk foundation, even though my skin gets quite oily throughout the day in my T-zone, I still decided to buy it and try it out as I love their products.

I love love love the packaging. It looks and feels expensive - probably because it bloody was hahaha. The bottle is rather big so you get a lot of product for your money.

The consistency is quite thick. I expected it to be slightly more like a liquid highlighter but I'm kind of glad it's thicker because it shows that it's supposed to work as an illuminating primer, rather than a liquid highlight. I was confused at first and didn't know whether to apply it all over my face or to the high points of it. Then after trying it out a few times - each time being different, I decided to apply it to places where my face is quite dull and needs a little bit of shine.

I came to the conclusion that this primer is great for illuminating dull skin, however, I don't think it helps my makeup stay on longer like a proper primer should... I'd say try it out for yourself, but there are many great dupes which are much more affordable, such as the L'oreal Infallible Primer Shots Luminising Primer.

REVIEW || STICKY HEELZ - HOW TO LAST ALL DAY/NIGHT IN HEELS

Whenever I wear heels for a long amount of time and my feet start to hurt I get really moody. This can actually ruin my day and make me want to come home early just so I can take my heels off. I will then be put off wearing them for ages and the same thing will happen over and over again.

About Sticky Heelz:

"Sticky Heelz was developed to address the issue of loose fitting shoes.  With around 60% of the population having different sized feet and around 33% with narrow feet, it would be impossible for any shoe manufacturer to make shoes the exact fit for everybody.  They can address the issue by providing half shoe sizes but these are limited to certain brands and styles.  We hear from so many frustrated customers  about how existing products do not address the issue of shoes not fitting correctly, so they just avoid purchasing certain styles of shoes.   But with Sticky Heelz you can love your shoes again! As our unique two part product uses a shoe pad and heel pad that connect to secure the foot inside the shoe." - source

When I came across the brand Sticky Heelz I thought 'hey let's give these a go' and see whether they will change my mind about wearing heels daily. I was kindly sent a packet to try out which I'm grateful for as these turned out to be one of my holy grail products!

I feel that the suction strength is very decent and the pads stay put all day/night. I recently bought some heeled boots (pictured above) and as beautiful as they are, I found them slightly difficult to wear. After applying Sticky Heelz I decided to go ahead and wear these boots all day for uni, and I was not disappointed at all. I came home and I honestly wanted to keep my shoes on - mainly because they look great on - but also because I did not feel pressure on my feet at all.

I highly recommend this product to all who love wearing heels but can't deal with the discomfort and pain of them! You can buy them here for £6.99, but hurry and check out the website for some amazing Valentine's Day offers!

REVIEW || GIORGIO ARMANI LUMINOUS SILK FOUNDATION

I'm sure that all of us would have heard about Giorgio Armani's Luminous Silk Foundation - the rave about it coming from beauty gurus such as Jeffree Star etc. I just had to buy it and try it out for myself. Is it worth the hype? Is it worth the high price tag of £37? Read on to find out...

I don't owe a lot of high-end foundations. I've always been going back and forth to my favourite Rimmel Match Perfection foundations or the trusty MAC Studio Fix, but when I heard so many positive reviews of the new Giorgio Armani foundation I went ahead and bought it as a birthday treat last month.

I really love the packaging. It screams 'sophisticated' and 'expensive'. It looks gorgeous on my desk, alongside the matching primer and my MAC lipsticks. As soon as I opened the box, I had high hopes for the product. I chose the shade '02' which I believe is the lightest shade available, well it was the lightest one when I was buying it anyway.

The colour match is perfect for me. It's not too pink yet not too yellow either, giving me a nice colour to my pale skin without being too dark - I do need to blend it down my neck slightly but I have to do this with all foundations so no biggie.

The coverage, ha, it states it is medium coverage however I think it's more of a light to medium coverage if anything. It applies on smoothly but I've noticed it moves around a lot when I try to blend it with my beauty sponge. I don't know if it's my skin and the redness or whether it's the actual product but I find that it does not conceal much. I feel the need to use a lot of concealer in places I need it, whereas when I use my Loreal True Match foundation I don't need to use a lot of concealer at all...

I think it lasts a full day without smudging or separating, it doesn't oxidise and it sits well on the face.  However this might be due to my setting spray, but my skin does tend to get quite oily throughout the day so maybe a luminous foundation is not the best one to wear haha. I will continue to use it every day and see how I feel, but I think it will suit me better in the summer as it has a beautiful glow to it, and at the moment I feel like I need a little bit of extra coverage to my skin.

If you're a fan of Giorgio Armani cosmetics then check out my review of the Light Master Primer.

Overall, I rate this product a 7/10.

REVIEW || BOUX AVENUE UNDERWEAR - WHAT TO WEAR ON VALENTINE'S DAY WHETHER YOU'RE SINGLE OR TAKEN - TREAT YO'SELF

Who can exist a great offer on some pretty underwear? Not me! On my recent visit to Birmingham (Clothes Show Live) I had to pop into Boux Avenue did I not? Especially when I saw the offer '3 for £12' in the window!! I sprinted faster than Usain Bolt into the shop and started picking out some pretty thongs.

I love lacy underwear, it makes me feel so powerful as a woman and instantly improves my mood. I chose these colours as I thought they're best for Winter time (Yes, I choose colours according to seasons ha ha silly me..). I love the feel of the material, it's super silky and smooth bearing in mind it is made out of lace and stretchy material.

I usually go for a size 10 and have also done this with these pairs, but I thought they looked slightly bigger than they should have been - maybe they are true to size and I'm suddenly a size 8?! A girl can wish...

I feel like they come up way too big for the size, so I would suggest to go one size down at least because of the stretchy material - you don't want your bits jiggling about if you know what I mean.

I received amazing customer service by a lovely student who chatted with me for a while and complimented me on my makeup! - how nice is that?! She actually thought I was a makeup artist! Surely compliments don't get better that this?!

I also managed to see one of the loveliest people again - Abby whom I've worked with before! She's an absolute star and I love her to bits!

I was offered a VIP membership card which is only making me want to go all the way back to Bham just to buy some lingerie and receive points 🙄🙄 is that cheeky to say?? Oh well, I don't care! The knickers are lovely!!!

I really hope they will open a Boux Avenue store in Nottingham soon - I am getting so itchy just thinking about the pretty lace and mesh patterns!!!

What do you think about Boux Avenue? Have you tried any of their lingerie or PJ's?

Lots of love,
Maya xo
