2016 || February Favourites

Good Morning Everybody!

I hope your week hasn't been too bad and that you're enjoying the second week of March! It's Easter soon! I can't wait to receive lots of chocolate eggs! Hehehe ;)

Today I will share with you my February favourites - there isn't a lot of them and they're all from one shop, but they are oh so exciting!

So as you can see I have loved Stila's Lipgloss and One Step Illuminating Bronzer, as well as Oscar De La Renta's sunglasses - the cases I was given were the only ones they had left at TKMaxx, but I'm not complaining as they are genuine Valentino cases and they are super soft!

The sunnies were only a whooping £14.99 each!! What a bargain!! They were both reduced from £100+, whereas the make-up items were below £5 each. I think I've fallen in love with the shop!

I would definitely recommend any of Stila's makeup products as I've never been disappointed with any of the ones that I own - and trust me when I say that I do have a big collection!

What have you been loving this February? Have you shopped at TKMaxx before?

Lots of love,
Maya xo

Mini Book Haul

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Who doesn't love a good book, right? I've been a bookworm since I was 12 - so for good 8 years now! My all time favourite author throughout my childhood was Jacqueline Wilson and then Joanne K. Rowling. However, now I really love Danielle Steele, Jodi Picoult and Torey Hayden.

I've been wanting to get my hands on a few books recently, and with ASDA always doing some sort of offers I had to get them. I chose Grey by E L James and Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn as I wanted to see Mr Grey's side of the story and Gone Girl took over my heart when the movie came out.

I really wanted to get my hands on two more books - The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawking and The Danish Girl by David Ebershoff, however unfortunatelly there wasn't any in stock - I will get my hands on them soon though!

Have you read any of the books mentioned above? If so, what did you think? Any recommendations?

Lots of love,
Maya xo

Tanya Burr Make up Collection

Hi Everyone!

It feels so weird knowing that we get an extra day of February this year, yet so surreal that it's March tomorrow! The time has flown by so much since I started uni, I feel old :(

Not long ago, I popped into my local Superdrug store and walked past a reduced item shelf - it was huge and filled with lots of Christmas boxsets. In a small tray I found a bundle of Tanya Burr beauty products and of course I had to grab one of each! I bought 4 nail polishes and 2 lipgloss which were reduced to £1 each. I wish they had the whole collection but their whole stock of Tanya's products was on offer and all the other colours were gone. However, I do consider myself lucky to have picked up those products for such an amazing price either way!
l-r: Penguin Chic, Riding Hood, New York Night, Mischief Managed, Smile Dream Sparkle and First Date. My personal favourite has to be the Penguin Chic nail polish as the colour is neutral and suitable for all ages and any occasion!
Just look how pretty they are!
Close up swatches of the glosses. You can see the pretty sparkles on the back of my hand. Definitely worth the money!

Do you own any of Tanya's cosmetics? Have you got any of the ones mentioned in my post?

Lots of love,
Maya xo

Sleek || Highlighting Palettes

Good Evening Everyone!

I have never tried any Sleek products before until recently when Superdrug had an offer on Sleek cosmetics 2 for £10. The palettes cost £9.99 each, so practically I got one for free. I also bought two blusher palette, but I'll mention it in a different post as today I'm going to focus on these two beautiful highlighter palettes.

I think the packaging itself made me want to buy these! The gold palette looks limited edition, as the black matte one reminds me of Nars' packing.
Midas Touch - this is a limited edition high listing palette. Weird as the gold one looks more like a limited edition product, right?
Solstice highlighting palette.
As you can see there are four different highlighters to choose from - Solitaire, Tanzanite, Rhinestone and Cubic Zirconia. They are all beautiful shades, but the one that caught my eye the most was Rhinestone - it is a BEAUTIFUL shade, definitely my favourite! It looks amazing with a dark smokey eye for a night look - I would avoid wearing it during the day as some might find it a bit too much!
Swatches l-r = Solitaire, Cubic Zirconia, Rhinestone and Tanzanite. As you can see they are very pigmented and you don't need a lot of product in order to achieve the perfect glow!
So this palette is a bit more sensible haha. It is suitable for all skin tones and seems appropriate for any occasion. I mainly bought this palette because of the packaging (I know, I'm really naughty). However I recommend this palette for beginners and lovers of Benefits' High Beam as the shade Ecliptic looks identical on skin but is only a little thicker consistency.
Swatches l-r = Subsolar, Equinox, Hemisphere and Ecliptic. Yet again, these are very pigmented and I only pressed on the product slightly.

What highlighter do you use? Have you tried any of the Sleek highlighters?

Lots of love,
Maya xo
