Hello beauties!
Who's been enjoying this weather? Me, Me, ME!!!! It is absolutely boiling in Nottingham, and I caught a bit of the sun. There is nothing better than having tanned skin and enjoying a beautiful weather. What I got up to those past few days is shopping, working and hitting the gym! I am determined to get very fit over the Summer just in time for my first girly holiday in August!
Anyway, here are pics of a few things I recently bought.
My little sister is obsessed with loom bands at the moment so I decided to buy some myself!!
Primark sunnies are the best. The prices vary from £1-£3. The white aviators were £1 and the mirror effect aviators were £2. 2 pairs for £3!!! BARGAIN!
Birkenstocks are a bit expensive, so I opted for the cheaper way and got some look alike sandals for only £5 from Primark. I've been wearing them every day since the day I got them and that was over a week ago. They are extremely comfortable.
This gorgeous handbag cost me £35 from River Island. Pricey but totally worth it!
I found this camisole in Vero Moda and had to try it on ASAP. It looks great on and weirdly suits my new hair colour! It was only £10, an amazing bargain especially as they accept NUS card so I got 10% off the bill.
This lovely skater skirt was reduced to £12 from I think £25 or £30 which is also a total bargain. It's great for this Summer and will look fantastic with a tan.
I've wanted to buy a 90's string top for a while now. I had a look around a local Miss Selfridge store and couldn't find any that I liked off the website, and you know what it's like when it comes to online shopping - it doesn't always turn out so great and something might not suit you. So I went into Topshop and found this lovely white top for only £6!!! I tried it on and really loved it. I will definitely purchase this top in more colours!
I've never tried Topshop's make-up but it would be a sin if I didn't buy these items for 50 PENCE EACH. I found this eye crayon in gold, a lip marker (lip stain) in red, and two sets of nail varnishes in variety of colours. I shall do a review on those products very soon.
This gorgeous velvet headband was reduced to £1 from £6 which is a total bargain for Topshop. Personally, I don't think I would have paid £6 for a headband as it's just an accessory.

Review || MUA Lipstick in shade 16 - Nectar

Hello everyone,
I recently bought another MUA lipstick from Superdrug for £1. This time I chose shade 16 - Nectar which is a dark coral shade. I don't really have a lot to say about this product because you all know from my previous reviews that MUA lipsticks are a must-have especially as they come in so many different shades for such an amazing price.
The packaging is very simple. Nice, sleek black and silver with the brand's logo on it. Keeping it simple, but classy. The bottom of this lipstick is 'see-through' but if you undo it, it is actually a lipgloss/balm attached to the bottom for you to choose whether you feel like wearing layers of heavy lipstick on colder days, or a hint of colour of the balm on hot days.
The lipstick looks a bit red. The texture and coverage are fantastic, especially as this lippy was only £1 from MUA. You can never have enough lipsticks. It is very easy to apply and to be honest, you don't even need to buy a lip liner because the lipstick looks great without having to accentuate your lips.
The packaging close-up. It looks similar to MAC's Morange.
Just one layer of this lipstick gives great coverage. I swatched it on my hand to show you guys how it looks on pale skin. It's a very orangey-coral shade. Perfect for the Summer.
That's what the lipstick looks like swatched layered up. It looks more bright red rather than coral.
I also bought this limited edition ChapStick in Shimmer Berry. It smells heavenly but doesn't really give any moisture, it kind of feels like it drains the lips from it :/
Lots of love,

Review || Benefit Hello Flawless powder

Hey guys,
As most of you already know, I'm a big fan of Benefit cosmetics, ant it hurts me to say that I was very, very disappointed with this product. I bought Hello Flawless powder in the shade ivory "I love me" back in January and I was very excited to try this product.
The staff who helped me with my order was very lovely, they even offered for me to apply this products before the purchase to see if I like it. Overall experience with visiting the Benefit counter at Boots was amazing, as always. However, this post is about the product, not the shopping experience.
As you can all see, the packaging is really unique, and rather modern. It's cute and girly, and the metallic effect makes it look like a mirror. It isn't too big so you can just chuck it in your handbag and carry it around to reapply during the day. I would say that the packaging is a very solid 9/10. Who doesn't love Benefits packaging? All products deserve a round of applause for looking extra high end and girly.
I know I should have taken pictures before I started using this product, but I din't know I was going to use it up so fast! This is what the powder looks like on the inside. It has a compact mirror already built in, which makes it even better as you don't have to carry a spare mirror with you whenever you go out.
This is the second section in this product, which holds a sponge applicator and a face brush. This is truly the ultimate powder which every girl dreams of having! A 3 in 1 to be exact!
This is the back of the product, showing information about the shade and mass.
And last but not least, a photograph of the product swatched on my hand. I didn't rub it in properly so you could see the texture of the powder. It is velvet-smooth and very light in touch.
Now, here we get to the important part of the review. As you can see in the pictures above, I have used nearly all of the product up and there isn't much I can do with the rest of it as it's placed around the edges. The shocking part is that I only had this product for around a month or two. Usually a powder lasts me for at least 3 months, but I used this one up much faster than any other. The most disappointing thing about this product was that it wore out far too quickly and I had to reapply it at least 3 times a day to keep my face shine-free. I will definitely never buy this product again, unless Benefit improved it's use. The product itself does not deserve higher than 4/10 :(
I hope this post helps anyone who's unsure about buying this product! If you have any questions then don't be shy and drop a comment below :) See you soon lovelies!!
Lots of love,

Healthy Diet Plan

Hello everyone!
Oh dear, I really do need to get into a routine of posting more on my blog! I recently decided to go on a diet, as I have got slightly bit rounder since I started my new job at Dominos Pizza (I can't resist a free pizza). I drastically cut down on fast food, such as Mcdonalds, Dominos, Chinese take away etc. I also stopped snacking, not altogether of course! I stopped eating excessive amounts of chocolate, sweets and crisps and replaced those fatty foods with fresh fruit and low calorie snacks.
I decided to drink at least two smoothies a week, which are full of vitamins and minerals that will make my skin and hair much better. I thought I will take some pictures to add to this post of the last smoothie I made.
I used seedless grapes, two bananas, two kiwis (I added another one after I took this photo) and a Frugo juice. I regret not peeling the grapes as the skin did not blend in the mixer :(
I chopped the fruit and put it in the smoothie mixer. After they blended quite well I added the juice and some extra water for it to be smooth and runny instead of really thick.
And the results were amazing. This smoothie was very different to what I usually stick to, but it was a nice change and I will be definitely making this again :)
After my morning smoothie I thought I'd make a healthy lunch. I heated up canned tomato soup and added some spices to make it less sweet. I sliced a wholegrain bagel in half, and voilla! Lunch = sorted. :)

Recent Purchases

Hi everyone!
I had a day off college today so I decided to go on a little Spring shopping spree with Kieran :)
I wanted to buy some new Soap&Glory products as soon as I found out that we're having our bathroom re-done. I bought the 'calm one, calm all' bubble bath, the 'sugar crush' body wash and 'sugar crush' body scrub.
There is no such thing as a good shopping trip if I don't bring at least one DVD home!!!
I also picked up some facial cleansing wipes from Primark. Two packets for £1!! I also grabbed an Alberto Balsam hair conditioner for £1 to try out. It smells really fresh and fruity, almost like a smoothie.
Everyone who knows me, knows that I am the best bargain finder. I love Primark's t-shirt bras as they are very comfy and only £2.50! They come in many colours and patterns, this time I picked up a minty one as I am obsessed with this colour at the moment.
As the Holiday Season is arriving I thought I'd look at some bikinis, because I will have to start buying clothes for Zante soon!!! This tie dye effect bikini caught my attention straight away. At whopping £4 I could not resist the urge to buy this product. I thought it will look nice with my skin tone and hair colour, and what's not to love about a huge bargain like this one?
I always have to make a trip down to River Island for some jewellery. I usually buy earrings, and today I decided to go for these. I've wanted to buy them for a while now, but they were always out of stock!!
Lots of love,
Maya xo
