Review || Rimmel 60 Seconds nail varnish in 410 I Lilac You

Hi guys!
Today I'm going to review Rimmel's 60 seconds nail varnish in I Lilac You. I bought this nail polish today and wanted to use it as soon as I got home! I'm really obsessed with pastel colours at the moment, and needed a lilac nail varnish to add to my collection! I don't think I've tried any of Rimmel's 60 seconds nail polishes so thought, why not try this one out!

The packaging: It's a pretty basic and rounded glass bottle of 8ml. It has a Union Jack sticker on the handle. It is quite small and handy, unlike some large bottles, and it holds a lot of product.
The application: It is very easy to apply as the brush is quite thick and stiff. You need about two coats of the product to have perfect coverage around the nail, so not only it's easy to apply but you save a lot of product by not layering the nail like a cake. Because the nail varnish is one of the 60 seconds edition, it dries really quick. I was actually shocked by how fast my nails have dried!
Overall opinion: I really like this nail polish, and will definitely buy other colours from the 60 seconds range. I don't think there is much else to say about this product other than every girl has to own one, because it's great quality for the value!!
Lots of love,

E.L.F. make-up haul

Hi guys!
Today I wanted to share with you my recent make-up haul. I have never bought anything from E.L.F. before so I was excited for my parcel to be delivered! I took a picture of all the items I ordered and will describe them below the pic :)
Clarifying pressed powder in ivory - I love the shade of this powder. It comes with a little sponge for application and feels soft on the skin. Gives a lovely airbrushed finish.
Primer eyeshadow in sexy silver - I like the shade of this primer, but I haven't used it as a base for my eyes just yet.
Lipstick in classy - This colour comes out a little bit lighter than what I expected but it gives a nice satin look.
Hypershine lipgloss in bubblegum - This lipgloss is really lightweight and non sticky, but the colour comes out as transparent which kind of disappointed me.
Bamboo flat eyeliner brush - The brush feels really soft but stiff. Perfect for gel eyeliner.
Bamboo smudge brush - This brush is also really soft but stiff, so will be perfect for smokey eyes.
Eyeliner brush - I bought this brush to compare it to the bamboo eyeliner brush. It's a lot wider, therefore it is good for applying eyeshadow to the eyelash crease.
Lip definer and shaper - I've not used this product yet but I have heard great things about it, so I'm excited to try it out asap :)
Mineral eyeshadow in bronzed - I absolutely love this colour! It's shiny and golden, very pigmented. I will definitely purchase more shades from this range.

Recent Purchases

Hi everyone!
I had a day off college today so I decided to go on a little Spring shopping spree with Kieran :)
I wanted to buy some new Soap&Glory products as soon as I found out that we're having our bathroom re-done. I bought the 'calm one, calm all' bubble bath, the 'sugar crush' body wash and 'sugar crush' body scrub.
There is no such thing as a good shopping trip if I don't bring at least one DVD home!!!
I also picked up some facial cleansing wipes from Primark. Two packets for £1!! I also grabbed an Alberto Balsam hair conditioner for £1 to try out. It smells really fresh and fruity, almost like a smoothie.
Everyone who knows me, knows that I am the best bargain finder. I love Primark's t-shirt bras as they are very comfy and only £2.50! They come in many colours and patterns, this time I picked up a minty one as I am obsessed with this colour at the moment.
As the Holiday Season is arriving I thought I'd look at some bikinis, because I will have to start buying clothes for Zante soon!!! This tie dye effect bikini caught my attention straight away. At whopping £4 I could not resist the urge to buy this product. I thought it will look nice with my skin tone and hair colour, and what's not to love about a huge bargain like this one?
I always have to make a trip down to River Island for some jewellery. I usually buy earrings, and today I decided to go for these. I've wanted to buy them for a while now, but they were always out of stock!!

Lush Favourites

Hi guys!
So, I have recently had my bathroom redone, so I decided to get some Lush products. I got the limited edition Snow Cake soap, which is made especially for Christmas. I found it in one of my cupboards untouched so decided to finally start using it! I also got the Think Pink bath bomb, purely because it's pink and smells nice!
This is what Think Pink looks like when put in hot water. It started fizzing and turned the water pink.
To my surprise, I found that Think Pink has lots of mini love hearts inside it, so I was bathing in the most romantic way. I recommend this to all the single gyals out there, or maybe even couples? ;)

April Wishlist

Hello lovelies!
Today I wanted to share with you guys a cute little wishlist (I love having money) which includes a few things that I will be definitely purchasing this Spring!
I'm going on a girly holiday to Zante this year and need to start doing my holiday shopping! On my wishlist there are a few things including those three gorgeous swimming costumes.
The bandage black and pink monokini is sooo gorgeous and would look fab on a tanned and toned body! (My goal is to tone up and lose half a stone). Pink is my favourite colour so at least one of my bikinis is going to be pink!
Then there is the aztec print swimming costume. O M G. It's beautiful and it would complement my curvy figure and make my stomach dissappear! Aztec prints are still very hot this season!
Talking about hot prints, that are so oh-wow right now, I have also chose this high waisted 50s inspired lips print bikini! It's so pink and girly, just what I like! I have never owned a high waisted bikini so this one would be perfect especially as I really love the print too!
My other wishlist is full of perfume. I love perfume. I would really want to get Alien by Thierry Mugler first as I have wanted to buy it for a while now but it's so pricy it would make me bankrupt :(
I love spicy and heavy perfume so I also picked out the Gossip Girl fragrance which is oriental spicy with a hint of vanilla and sandalwood. Perfect for Winter evenings.
Lola by Marc Jacobs has always been one of my favourite scents and it suits every season, especially Spring and Summer.
Cinema by Yves Saint Laurent is such a sweet fragrance, it smells like a baby born doll! I only discovered it recently as my friend has it, and oh my do I love this scent!!!
Lots of love,

Summer is coming!!!

Hi guys!
We can actually feel Summer arriving. It's getting warmer day by day, which means that we can show off a bit of our bodies now hehe! ;)
Personally, I prefer not to expose myself too much as my skin should only be on display for myself and my other half. Also, my daddy doesn't like me wearing skimpy clothes!!
I have recently gone out on a Starbucks date with my auntie and had a lovely catch up! I haven't seen her since November, so thought it would be nice to go out. The fact that she's the same age as me is even better :) We had so much to talk about!! I experienced the weirdest thing that day. Some random foreign exchange student started hitting on me! I have never been hit on in public before! I thought it was the strangest thing ever haha! It must have been Kate looking extra grown up that day ;)
I ordered a Mango and Passion Fruit Iced drink because I was out of breath and the weather was so warm! Kate ordered a camomile tea, which was also quite nice and refreshing.
I will definitely be taking Kieran out on a little Starbucks date as he's never had one before!! Shocker!!!!
I wanted to get my nails done at a salon for a long time now, but it's so expensive and I'm saving up so I had to hold back with splashing on getting French tip acrylics and opted for my own French mani! I used my Nailene set and that's the outcome:

What I'm reading at the moment

Hello everyone!
In today's post I wanted to talk about my new favourite book which I'm also reading at the moment - The fault in our stars by John Green. I started reading it not long ago and I must say that I can't put it down, but have to due to college work overload.
This book is about a 16, soon to be a 17 year old girl who has lung cancer and meets a 17 year old boy with an amputated leg. It's a proper teenage love story and I don't want to give anything away in case you're all lined up to read this bad boy!
The fault in our stars will change everyone's lives and their perspective on life and love. The film for this book is coming out this Summer, so I will definitely be going down to Cineworld on the release date!!!
Sorry that this post is very brief, but I have been so busy lately that I have barely any time to blog :(
Lots of love,

Review || Schwarzkopf Essence Ultime Omega Repair

Hey guys!
I realised that I haven't done a full review of a product for a while, so thought that I should review one of my recent purchases, which is the Schwarzkopf Essence Ultime Omega Repair Beauty Balm hair treatment by Claudia Schiffer. This hair BB is for damaged, depleted hair that needs a lot of TLC.
There are three different ones to choose from. I chose the Omega Repair as my hair is very dry and brittle from overusing hair bleach and heated tools. This product is the best hair remedy which works ASAP and makes your hair feel light, soft and extra bouncy. What I noticed after using this product is that it made my hair very easy to comb through and it didn't even look flat, like it usually does. So not only does this product save hair, but it also improves it and gives it volume!
I have been so excited for Claudia Schiffer's haircare range to come out, as I have always been struggling with the state of my own hair, and her being a blonde like me made it easier for me to buy as I know that she dyes her own hair the lightest shade of blonde. I have tried so many different products over the past 5 years since I first dyed my hair, and because I keep changing my hair colour between platinum, brown and blonde, it never is in the state I wish it was. I've been trying to grow my hair out for about 3 years now as it sued to be long and healthy but then boom! I dyed it brown and had to bleach it when I got bored with the colour. Ever since I keep damaging my hair intentionally and I try to stop myself so it finally grows out, but it takes too long and I, being a Capricorn, am very impatient!!
The packaging of this product is quite small and handy. It looks like something hairdressers would use at an expensive hair salon. It has a picture of Claudia on it, so everyone knows that it is one of her products. It explains what the product does at the back of the bottle and what type of hair it is for.
Here in this picture, my hair looks really soft and bouncy, - just what I was aiming for. The product's consistency is very similar to normal hair conditioners which you wash out. This one is to leave in after every wash. I recently had a haircut so I don't have split ends, however, some ends of my hair are still very dry as I didn't want my hairdresser to chop all of it off! This is where the treatment comes in and saves my life. Every time I use it, my hair feels like it's just been done by a professional hairdresser, and all I have to do is brush it because it doesn't need styling!
In this picture, you can see the length of my hair when it's only been brushed (excuse my lip scar). It is naturally wavy and most days I cannot be bothered to straighten it so I just leave it wavy or put it up in a bun. It's not as short as I thought it was and is much healthier than it ever was!
Overall, I would rate this product 9/10 because it does an amazing job in keeping hair soft and shiny, with an anti-frizz formula (this is always a plus). I got it on offer for £3.49, but I think the normal price is £4.99 so it isn't pricey at all. Well worth spending money on, I will definitely buy this product again when I run out!! BTW my nails are by Barry M.
Lots of love,
Maya xo

OOTD

Hello everyone!
It is March now! The time has gone by so fast. I only have 3 months left until my a-level exams, and I am stressing out big time! What calms me down the most, are Yankee candles. The fragrance is so strong and they last forever. I have recently bought those three candles, one jar and two votives. The fruity melon is a must-have this Spring!!
What I really wanted to talk about today was the outfits I wore last Thursday. Below is a picture of me wearing white jeans and a teal camisole. I wore that outfit to college that day. The jeans I am wearing were on sale in H&M for whooping £5!!! The camisole is from Primark, the gold chain is also from Primark. My nails are by Barry M in the colour Peach Melba. Excuse my dirty mirror, I didn't realise that I had so many fingerprints on it. It must have been my brother messing about with my sister and poking at things with their sticky fingers!!

Later on that Thursday, I was going out with my 3 close friends to a restaurant called Chutney. One of my best friend's father owned the place and they were having a Bollywood night. Me, being a great lover of Indian cuisine, was the first to get ready for this event! I have used all of my sparkly eye shadows and Indian bangles I have received for my 18th birthday. They were really hard to put on as they are meant to be tight around the wrist, so I had to moisten up my hand to get them on!! I wore my emerald and black lacy bodycon dress and black suede wedges.

That is it for today guys, I will try and post more but I really have no free time to do so as revision awaits me :( coursework deadlines also do not help!!
Lots of love,
Maya xo
