Barry M Nail Paint Review

Hiya dolls!
My nails needed doing so badly! This time I have used Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in the shade Lychee and Barry M Glitter Effect Nail Paint im the shade Amethyst.
I've never actually uses any of Barry M's products, so I was quite excited about trying their nail varnishes for the first time :) I must say, I am very pleased with the quality of the nail paints and will definitely increase my nail varnish collection by adding many more colours!

The Packaging: I really like the packaging of those nail varnishes as they are big, bold and stand out from other bottles. The font on the glass bottles is really cute and girly. I love it!
The caps differ on the type of the nail paint. If it's limited edition or an effect one then the cap will stand out from others. Here you can see that the Gelly Nail Paint has a shiny silver cap, and the glitter effect has a plain matte black cap.

The Application: The Gelly Nail Paint was very easy to apply and I only needed to use one coat to get the full coverage on the nail. The texture was very thick and smooth almost jelly-like. There isn't a lot I can say about this nail varnish as it's just so perfect that I have no words to describe it. It's also such good value for money at £3.99 per item!!

Friday Night Snack

Hey guys!
So, every Friday night me and my family have a movie night and always make loads of snacks. My favourite finger food is tomato, cheese, green olive and chorizo pieces on cocktail sticks. They are absolutely FABULOUS! Mmm the juiciness of those photos makes me want to make some more!!

Favourite Midnight Snack

Hey Guys!
I wanted to make a quick post on what I have lately been eating which keeps healthy and full of energy. (something I probably shouldn't be eating at midnight...)
I decided that I love raspberries. The sweet and sour mix of flavours just does it for me.
I try to eat my 5 a day, however I lead a very busy life so I barely have time to eat anything at all, hence why I always have 'midnight snacks'.

MUA Lipstick Review

Hey guys!
I've read many reviews on the MUA lipsticks, and thought I will buy some to see if they're as good as other bloggers suggest. Guess what? They are! Those lipstick are amazing value for money at £1 each and are very pigmented which you wouldn't expect in a cheap lipstick.
Personally, I think that the darker shades are much better as they are more pigmented, as the lighter shades aren't as visible on the lip as the darker shades are.

Shade 3 is a dark fuchsia pink and gives a shiny and glossy finish.

Shade 5 is a very light glittery pink, and isn't very visible on a bare lip,
so I use it as a top coat for one of my other lippies.

Shade 13 is my favourite out of all three, as it's very rich in colour,
has a soft satin finish and is highly pigmented.

Here's a preview of what the colours look like on bare skin.

HOME || MINI YANKEE CANDLE HAUL

Left-right
Soft Cotton
Vanilla Frosting
Snowflake Cookie
Merry Marshmallow
Just like every other girl, I love scented candles. My current favourites are Yankee Candles, as they will burn for many hours and the smell is never-ending as I don't have to light them up for them to give a nice smell. I had to buy a couple of the new festive candles: Snowflake Cookie, and Merry Marshmallow. Snowflake Cookie is by far my favourite as it is very sweet and you can actually smell the biscuit which is amazing! Merry Marshmallow is a fluffy bunny's favourite haha. It smells just like mini vanilla marshmallows. It's fantastic.
Vanilla Frosting smells very buttery-like cake frosting should, and the hint of vanilla is very strong which fills the room up with lovely fresh-baked cake smell.
I recently purchased Soft Cotton as I wanted a change form all the heavy and sweet scents. This candle smells like fresh laundry which makes me want to smell it all the time! I might just have to buy about 4 of these and spread them round in my bedroom or even in my wardrobe!

Dr. Hobbs Severely Damaged Thin Hair Medicine Review

Hey guys!
As you all already know, my hair is very thin and fragile due to being over-dyed and bleached. I have recently become a big fan of Dr. Hobbs' hair treatment products and you can read one of my other reviews of their products here.
This time I have picked up a hair mask which I can use in the shower and don't have to keep it on for long.

The packaging: The packaging is very plain and simple. The tub is plastic and holds a lot of the product inside it. The instructions on the packaging are very clear and give an outlook of what your hair is going to gain. The ingredients are carefully described in case someone was allergic to one of them. The packaging isn't very attractive, however it has this vintage look to it which I really approve of!

The application: The application of the product was very easy as the texture of the mask is very silky and watery. It's very easy to apply, especially on wet hair. I do have to use a fair amount of the product every time I use it, so it's not long lasting and will probably have to buy a tub every month if I decide to carry on with the treatment (which I definitely will).

The results: It made my hair a little bit dry but it looked a lot thicker with more volume after a few uses. It made my hair follicles stronger and I noticed a decrease in hair loss too. There isn't much can say about this product, other than it's quite average, but it did make my hair feel and look fuller than it usually does.

What's in my make-up bag

Today I wanted to show you guys what make up I use on a daily basis. My make up bag is very tiny but oh so heavy! I don't wear much make up every day, however I do like a bit of heavy eye make up from time to time! ;) I feel like a better person when my lips look good as they are rather large and the scar on my top lip bugs me so I try to wear lipstick or lipgloss as often as I can!

The Primer: I use Benefit's the POREfessional. I bought it, because I got told by a few people that it's really good and I was desperate to try it out, especially as I needed a new primer! I bought the large 44ml primer as it's better value for money, and I have been very pleased with this product since day 1. The texture of it is very velvety and it makes my skin very smooth. It reduced the appearance of my pores and fine lines. IT also makes my make-up stay on for longer. I am very pleased with this product and it is very important for me to use it every day before applying my foundation, because it gives me the soft and air brushed look.

The Foundation: This foundation might be the best one I have every bought. It gives full coverage without the caked up look. It's soft in touch and thick in texture. It feels very light when I wear it, and I don't have to keep on re-applying it for ages, until about 6-7 hours after the first application. I bought Maxfactor's lasting performance in the shade ivory. I highly recommend this foundation for anyone who has acne or suffers from redness, as the coverage is very good and there are many shades to choose from, which make life easier for pale girls like me!

The Concealer: I use Rimmel's hide the blemish concealer to hide the dark circles under my eyes from staying up too late! It's a good concealer and has very good coverage, however I don't like the texture of it as it's really thick and matte, and makes my skin look dry.

The Powder: This pressed powder was the first MUA item I have ever purchased. I have no words. It's is beyond amazing. Incredible value for your money, fantastic bargain for £1.00. It gives good coverage and a natural matte finish. I chose shade 1 which is the lightest shade, but I was originally looking for a translucent shade, but they only do a limited amount of shades.

The BB Cream: Personally I think that Garnier do the best BB creams, however the shades are very limited. I chose the lightest shade and it is still too dark for me to wear without a tan. Therefore, I only use it to add some shadow to my face during contouring. It's good to wear in the Summer, but it's definitely a no-no from me to wear in Winter with my complexions.

The Bronzer: I discovered Bourjois Delice de Poudre bronzing powder through my mother as she bought one of them a while back. What drew me to it the most was the amazing scent, as it smells of chocolate! IKR CHOCOLATE. I mainly use this bronzer for contouring my face as it's a matte shade with a tiny amount of shimmer added to it. It's very pigmented and the smell of it transfers onto my face during application which makes me even happier, just because it smells like the best thin in the world.

The Blush: I use Bourjois scented blush, because I absolutely love the smell of it. I chose the shade 95 Rose de Jaspe as I am rather pale and this shade is bright pink, but not too dark so I don't look like a Barbie doll when I apply it. This blush comes with a little brush and a compact mirror, which makes it even better! This blush is easy to apply and doesn't come off easily as it is very pigmented.

The Mascara: I bought this mascara when it first came out as I've seen it being advertised on TV and around town. I got it on offer with gel eye-liner so I was very pleased with that bargain. I really like 17's beauty products and have purchased many before, but I have never bought any of their mascaras for some reason. So trying this one was a little challenge for me, as I usually stick to Maybelline mascaras. Anyway, the packaging of this mascara is so cute and chic, I love it. It's simple but glamorous. The coverage of the mascara on the eyelash is very good. I chose the extreme black shade and am very pleased with the results as my eyelashes are naturally very fair (almost white). However, I do like to have big eye lashes and because they're already long and thick, this mascara makes them look very natural and I guess that is a good thing, but I do like to put many layers of it on and it just doesn't work.

The Eyebrow Pencil: I have been using Rimmel's professional eyebrow pencil for about 4 years now, and I wouldn't change it for the world. I use the hazel shade because my hair colour is very light and it would look weird if I had thick black eyebrows and white hair haha. It's easy to apply as the pencil lead is very soft and pigmented so you don't have to go over your eyebrows multiple times to get your desired look. This eyebrow pencil also comes with a brush, which is better value for money as you don't have to buy an extra brush to put those caterpillars in place!

The Eye-liner: MAC make up usually has very good products, however I must say that I am quite disappointed this their liquid eye-liner. It smudges and doesn't last too long so I keep having to re-apply it every few hours to get the wow effect. Overall, it is a good product, but it's definitely not worth the amount of money you have to pay to get this, as it's not long lasting and rubs off very easily.

The Lipstick: I adore MAC lipsticks. The shades are gorgeous and the texture of the lipstick make me want to keep on re-applying it because of how soft it feels on my lips. I don't really like the scent of it as it. smells like acrylic paint haha. I currently use the shade Brave, which is a nude colour and makes my lips look plump. The texture is satin and it gives a matte effect with a bit of gloss. I really like this lipstick and use it nearly every day as the neutral colour goes with all sorts of eye make up that I wear.

I hope you enjoyed this post! :)
I will try and post more often ASAP.

Nail Caviar review

As every other girl, I love having cool nails, so I thought I will try out the 'caviar effect' in black and blue.
I don't know why, but I feel like a better person who takes care of themselves when I have nice and neat nails haha. First of all, I wanted to experiment with the new creation and I also wondered how hard it would be to apply the beads onto the nail.

The packaging: The beads were in a cute little bottle which had a funnel to make the application easier. It was see through and you could see the colourful and shiny beads inside it. Personally, I liked the packaging due to it's transparency as it allowed me to see what the beads are like, unlike other nail caviar bottles which only say the colour of the beads instead of actually allowing you to see them.

The application: The application was quite tricky. I had to hold my hand over a bowl so the beads wouldn't go everywhere. The funnel made the application a bit easier, however I had to be quick with the application as the top coat on my nail was drying quite fast. I had to reapply the top coat a few times so the beads would stay in place. I guess you need to be patient to do your nails perfectly, sadly this is something I am not :(

How long did it last?: I used an anti-chip nail varnish for my base which stays on without chipping for about 4-5 days. The top coat I have used makes every nail varnish last about 2 days longer (6-7 days now, yay!) and then the bead did not fall off until I accidentally peeled the layer off! This means that the beads last even longer, however you must always use a top coat if you want your nails varnish to last longer!

Here's a pretty bad picture of the final look of my nail:

This picture had been taken at night so it was a bit dark and my shadow was covering half of my hand! My phone's camera is a bit dodgy, so excuse the bad photo!

Winter Wishlist

I'm finally back at college yay! I was looking forward to seeing everyone again, but the worst news is that I have an end of unit controlled assessment for psychology boohoo :(
Winter is finally arriving :D I love all the seasonal decorations in shops, and have put some up in my house already! We can't forget about Halloween though and the spookiness last Thursday brought ;)
My Winter Wishlist only includes clothes and accessories from Topshop, as the items are quite pricey.
Those items will definitely take place on my letter to Santa!!
All of these items are just so beautiful. I would say my favourite item is the pink boyfriend coat. Look ho gorgeous it is!!
As everyone knows that I have a little brother and sister, I had to take them out Trick or Treating. I decided I was going to dress up so I don't feel left out haha. My sister was a zombie, and my brother was a skeleton, so I thought 'I'm going to be a sugar skull!'. I felt like a little kid again, doing my makeup took me about 20 minutes so it wasn't that bad for my first try! The second time I did my make up was when I was going to an Ice Skating Halloween foam party, (which unfortunately I couldn't go to any more due to a really bad cold) turned out better than my first attempt (yay). Here's a picture of me and my siblings before leaving the house to go Trick or Treating:
To achieve this look I have used face paints, and found a picture on Google Images of a sugar skull. My sister has also used some of my face paints to create the 'hungry zombie' look, and my brother is wearing a mask as he always rubs his face!
And here's a picture my make up the day after Halloween:
I have changed things up a bit and didn't use any face paints. For my eyes I used black gel eye liner, and gold glitter eye shadow. The flowers and stitches on my face are drawn with a black pencil liner. My nose is also drawn with gel eye liner, and my lips are contoured and filled in with red lipstick.
I don't like the feeling of face paints on my face as they feel very heavy and oily, which is a big no-no for me. it's always good to experiment with different materials.

Hope you had an eventful Halloween this year!
