2016 || May Favourites

Hi Lovelies!

May was a crazy month for me. I had my end of year exams and the weather had its ups and downs. However, this does not mean that I didn't have any beauty favourites! This month I've mainly been loving Makeup Revolution products but I tried not to include too many haha!

The things I've been loving in May 2016:
-Makeup Revolution Salted Caramel Palette £8
-Makeup Revolution Ultra Strobe Cream £8
-Makeup Revolution Contour Kit £3.50
-MAC Paint Pot in Painterly £16
-MAC Brook Candy Edition Matte Lipstick in Whirl £17

What have you loved in May?

2016 || April Favourites

Hi Everyone!

I know it's sooo late for an April favourites post, but you should be grateful that there is one at all hahaha!! I bought loads of Benefit products in April so I thought I'd dedicate this post to the brand (NOT sponsored).

So as you can see I went all out and bought nearly every single travel-sized product that Benefit does. As Boots had an offer on the minis (4 for £15 + free makeup bag) I bought 8 products from the offer and one travel-sized Hoola bronzer which was £9.95.

I absolutely love every single product I had bought, especially the baby sized Hoola! I definitely recommend all these product for those who are travelling light this year or want to save space in their makeup bags!

Have you tried any of the products mentioned above? What's your favourite?

Lots of love,

2015 || September Favourites

Hey guys!

Most of you already know that I am a massive tea drinker and I've previously reviewed Clipper's tea here. As September is such a dreary month, I've been drinking more tea. I'm a big fan of green and herbal teas, especially in the morning while I'm getting ready or at night before bed.

Lemon green tea are very refreshing to have in the morning and because it has caffeine it will wake you up instantly. If you find green tea a bit bitter, you can always use a sweetener or one teaspoon of sugar for added taste. I would recommend using honey instead of sugar just because it tastes nicer and is healthier. :)

You could also add a slice of lemon or orange for extra taste. I love putting slices of lemon, orange and a couple of mint leaves in filtered water as it's a good cleanser for your system and gets rid of unhealthy toxins!
This tea retails at around £3.00. I bought it on offer for only £1.00 which is a complete bargain for 80 tea bags.
The Snore&Peace tea is very calming and sends you off to sleep. It is especially useful for people who share a room and feel like they are disrupting the other person with their snoring as this tea helps to clear out the nasal cavity, enabling the person to breathe through their nose without snoring. It is very tasty, and I highly recommend it to those who have snoring problems or are just after a peaceful night.

Have you tried any of these teas? If so, what did you think of them?

2015 || June Favourites

Hello Beauty Lovers!
Last month I've been loving everything to do with hair dye! I had three different colours in June - from blonde to grey and then to pink. You can read about my journey with grey hair here. All the products in this post have been bought at Poundworld - yes you are reading this right!!
Firstly, the eylure eyelashes are one of my favourite pairs I have ever bought, and believe me when I say that I've used a lot of pairs in my life! I can't believe they were at my local poundworld!! I will definitely buy more pairs next time I see them. They look great on and feel like feathers as they are very light weight.

The Jerome Russell lighting spray has actually worked well since the first use. I can see a change in my hair colour and it looks as if I had recently put in some highlights. I would highly recommend this product if you have light hair and are after a balayage effect.

It was the first time I have come across the Kinky Curly Straight brand and I must say that I am beyond impressed with the quality of the conditioner and the ingredients are mostly natural unlike other brands. It has a variety of oils which are good for your hair and full of nutrients. I will definitely buy the whole collection next time.

The Mellors&Russell simply bright hair dye in pink is actually quite effective. I wouldn't say it was amazing and the colour didn't come out as I was expecting, this however could be due to my hair not being light enough, but it's a good product for the price and is worth buying if you already have very light or bleached hair ready for some colour.

On the other hand, their simply bright non permanent colouring conditioner has worked a bit better on my hair leaving it with a nice pinky-peach colour. I have although kept it on for only 5 minutes rather than the recommended 15, so I guess the longer you keep the dye on the better the result.

Have you tried any of those products? If yes then please mention which ones in comments below!

Hey guys!
After hoarding so many MAC products I decided to get rid of my empties and go BackToMAC with them. I decided to go for Velvet Teddy as at the time I had grey hair and wanted a new nude which would go with any hair colour, especially grey. The lipsticks cost £15.50 and obviously I got mine for a free, so you better start saving your empty MAC products and exchange 6 of them for a free lippy!

I came across this frozen cocktail when I was shopping with my mum at Tesco. It was on offer for £1.50 and they had a variety of cocktails to choose from - I opted for the classic Pina Colada for the lovely weather we had! I must say that it was one of the best cocktails I've had in a while and it was so cheap! I will definitely buy more of these next time I make my way to my local Tesco as they do have quite a lot of alcohol in them too! ;)

2015 || March Favourites

Hey beauties!
How are you all? I'm still recovering from my recent surgery so I've had a lot of time to take photographs of some products I've been loving this month, so keep on reading and stay tuned for more posts!
So, as you can see all of the products I've been obsessing are skin care related and are all very affordable so any of you can go and buy them. I'm not entirely sure about the availability in other countries, but nearly every shop in the UK stocks these products. Okay so let's get to it!

Sure Maximum Protection Compressed Deodorant has been introduced earlier on last year I think, and this is the only one from the entire range that I've actually liked for its long lasting effects and the scent. It is aloe vera scented and infused so not only does it smell good - it does good to your skin too. It leaves my underarms feeling smooth and hydrated while it works wonders on keeping the odour away.

Garnier Fresh Eye Make-up Remover has been my holy grail this month as I suffer from dry and sensitive skin and I never take my make-up off before going in the shower which I need to start doing!! This product has made my life a lot easier as it removes waterproof make-up and the mascara that I'm using at the moment is so hard to take off, and also the eyelash glue I'm using is permanently on my eyelids!! I highly recommend this product to people with sensitive skin and those who wear fake eyelashes on a daily basis because it does get rid of the glue and keeps your eyes tear-free!

Dove Go Fresh roll-on Deodorant smells a-m-a-z-i-n-g!! It leaves a cooling feel when you apply it, it's great for when you've just had a shower after a nice work out. It keeps you feeling fresh and ready to start your day and the scent is delicious!

Sure Invisible roll-on Deodorant is one that I use in the evenings or for when I go out as it doesn't leave any marks after using it and dries really quickly, so if you want to wear that LBD, you do so girl! It offers maximum protection for 24 hours (obviously nobody will need it for that long) but it's great for nights out especially as clubs do tend to get you hot and sweaty!

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water - now this is something every blogger has been raging about for the past few months. This is the first time I've repurchased a cleansing water and what can I say other than that I'm very impressed with this product and with what it does to my skin. It smells great, leaves my skin feeling clean and healthy and it's also hydrating so it's perfect for this kind of weather we've been having. If you use it before applying your make-up make sure you use a moisturiser with a subtle glow or a primer such as Prep&Prime from MAC as it gives a great glow to your face and you're instantly Spring photo ready!

Clean&Clear Deep Cleansing Lotion is very good for oily skin types and those who get a lot of break outs. It cleanses your face completely out of all oils, dirt and blackheads as well as it prevents new ones from growing. You can feel the difference after the first use and this is definitely my favourite product out of the ones I've mentioned above as not only it gives me a cleansed feel/look but also moisturises my skin and leaves it feeling smooth and soft. It's great for using before bedtime.

What have you been loving this month? Have you tried any of the products above?

Lots of love,
Maya xo

2015 || January Favourites

Hey beauties!
I cannot believe that it's February already! I swear it was September not long ago?!?! I have never done a monthly favourites post, however I thought why not share my most loved products with you guys?! I have been very poorly recently so most of my favourites this month are very Winter based - things that get me by through each day.
Pop tarts are my all time favourites. Bustin' Berry and S'mores are the best. This time I thought I will try the Very Cherry ones as I love cherries and why not try something new?
Green tea has always been my one true love. Correction - just tea in general. I feel much better when I drink green tea, as I feel like it cleanses my body from all the bad toxins. It also stimulates and speeds up metabolism so it's really good if you're trying to lose all the 'Christmas' weight!
DermaV10 is my new favourite skincare brand. I have reviewed this product here, and I must say it is one of the best face creams I have ever used. It is perfect for this weather as it's very thick and stays on your face for a whole day. Nivea SOS Lip Relief is great for chapped lips which are my worst enemy right now as I love wearing lipstick so badly!! But not to worry as this product is my salvation. I apply the balm before lipstick and it makes it lasts longer without drying out my lips at all.
I've always wanted to try this product and I finally got the chance to do so when I received this as a gift for my 19th birthday. I love the smell, the taste and it does a pretty good job of smoothing out my lips. Lush lip scrubs come in three different flavours - Bubblegum, Popcorn and Julips. I must have all three!!
I got this Tresemme Oil Elixir for Christmas form my mum and I have to say it does wonders to my fair. I have fine and brittle hair which needs a lot of TLC and this just does the job. I think it's £9.99 in Boots but it's so worth buying as it is a big bottle that will last you forever and you only need one squirt for all of your hair because you don't want it looking greasy. I definitely recommend it to anyone who' struggling with fragile hair.

Have you tried any of those products? What are your January favourites?

Lots of love,
Maya xo

Mini MAC Haul

Hey Lovelies!
It's been a while since I last posted as I am stuck at home with so much work to do for college it's unreal! On top of that I have been ill for over a month now! :( nothing seems to be helping me :/
Anyway, I wanted to keep you guys updated with my mini MAC haul and what I got last time I went in to the Nottingham store.
I re-purchased a foundation in the first time in my life, and it just had to be Studio Fix Fluid. This time I got it in shade NW10 because it came out not long ago and it is perfect for my skin colour as NW15 was waaaay too dark. I also bought my mum the Studio Fix Fluid as a treat for her Birthday, she was matched with NW20 which is also perfect for her skin colour.
I also took advantage of Back to MAC and exchanged 12 empties for two gorgeous lipsticks! I've always loved a dark lip so I grabbed Rebel, a gorgeous dark plum shade which is perfect for AW.
My mum chose the shade Flamingo for me as I was stuck with my second choice. It is a lovely coral lipstick and looks great with light smokey eyes.
Ever since I discovered MAC, my motto became 'Once you go MAC, you never go back!'. What MAC products do you guys have and love the most? Any ideas for my next shopping trip?
Lots of love,
Maya xo

Healthy Diet Plan

Hello everyone!
Oh dear, I really do need to get into a routine of posting more on my blog! I recently decided to go on a diet, as I have got slightly bit rounder since I started my new job at Dominos Pizza (I can't resist a free pizza). I drastically cut down on fast food, such as Mcdonalds, Dominos, Chinese take away etc. I also stopped snacking, not altogether of course! I stopped eating excessive amounts of chocolate, sweets and crisps and replaced those fatty foods with fresh fruit and low calorie snacks.
I decided to drink at least two smoothies a week, which are full of vitamins and minerals that will make my skin and hair much better. I thought I will take some pictures to add to this post of the last smoothie I made.
I used seedless grapes, two bananas, two kiwis (I added another one after I took this photo) and a Frugo juice. I regret not peeling the grapes as the skin did not blend in the mixer :(
I chopped the fruit and put it in the smoothie mixer. After they blended quite well I added the juice and some extra water for it to be smooth and runny instead of really thick.
And the results were amazing. This smoothie was very different to what I usually stick to, but it was a nice change and I will be definitely making this again :)
After my morning smoothie I thought I'd make a healthy lunch. I heated up canned tomato soup and added some spices to make it less sweet. I sliced a wholegrain bagel in half, and voilla! Lunch = sorted. :)

Favourite item of the month

Hello my lovelies!
I wanted to do something new and decided to do one post a month of my favourite item at the time. I thought this would give me more post ideas and also I get to share my personal style with you as today's post is about my favourite earrings at the moment.
I got these from Primark about a month ago in the sale for £1. Obviously I was really excited to wear them for the first time and ever since, I barely change them for others. Last year was all about statement necklaces, but this year for me is all about the statement earrings! I especially really like the aztec print on the wings, it gives the earrings a somehow exotic look. The gem ib the middle makes them look very girly and maybe even quite formal?

Benefit Cosmetics Haul

Hi guys!
I know I have been slacking in the blogger world lately, and I'm very sorry about that! I have so much college work to focus on, especially as I have exams coming up next month.
I recently purchased a couple of extravagant make up items from Benefit. It hurt my card to pay that much, however those items are so worth the money.
Hello Flawless and Brow Zings.
I needed a new professional pressed powder which would go well with my new MAC foundation. I was going to go to MAC originally, however I got side tracked by the benefit counter in Boots. I had my make up done by a lovely lady who worked there and decided to purchase this powder. I chose the ivory shade as my skin is very fair. The texture of the powder is very smooth and feels like velvet after it's been applied onto the skin. It comes with a mirror, brush and a sponge and costs about £25.50 from what I can remember.
I have always wanted to try benefits brow set, but could never get around to actually buying it as it is a little bit pricey. I spoke to the make up artist there and she asked if I wanted to try it on, so I thought 'why not?'. I applied the wax and then the powder onto my eyebrows and instantly fell in love with this product. I also got told that it lasts for about 2 years!! I couldn't be happier with an eyebrow product as I have tried many already. I chose this product in the light shade as I am blonde and do not wish for my eyebrows to be too dark as I thought it would look a bit funny. This is by far one of the best eyebrow sets ever at the price of £23.50.
I hope this helps and will make up for me being a lazy git not posting enough this month!
Lots of love,
Maya xo

Lazy glam day

Hey guys!
I feel so happy lately, probably because my birthday is coming up!! I'm already excited about Crimbo, but my birthday is much more exciting as I will be turning 18!!!!
Here I am wearing my favourite jeans from H&M, I rolled them up so my frilly socks would be more visible as they are gorgeous. The socks are from Primark and only cost me £1.50 per pair!! Such an amazing bargain!
I can definitely say that I'm the happiest I've been in those past few months which is such a lovely feeling! I almost have forgotten what it's like to be happy and enjoy life. I'm already stressing about my A-level exams even though they start in May! I've been revising so much already, hence why I don't post too often, but that will change as soon as all my college work is out of the way!

Anyway, have a lovely day my darlings! :) ♡
